  • Publication number: 20230409430
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure may provide a data protection system that performs identification of errors from queries on a database. The data protection system can further identify corrupted data from additional errors, are difficult to detect, and occur between layers of data in the database system. The data protection system can perform corrections of the error data by rebuilding database data or removing the corrupted data.

  • Publication number: 20230409663
Abstract: An automatic differentiation (AD) technique and implementation processes multi-physics solver code entirely on graphics processing units (GPUs) to automatically differentiate one or more outputs of the code with respect to one or more inputs. The technique provides a “factory” framework that ingests arbitrarily complex solver code to produce a version of the code that is automatically differentiated (AD code) and mapped to the GPUs. The technique provides a derivative of the solver code output with respect to the inputs that enables analysis of the output of the computed solver code with initially provided inputs coherent with sensitivity analysis of that output as the inputs are changed. The adjoint information derived from solver code execution (AD code) computed by the AD technique may also be used to estimate one or more estimates of the numerical error in a solution to the physical simulation.

  • Publication number: 20230410428
Abstract: A technique manages graphics processing units (GPUs), as well as associated algorithm advancements, to improve and effectively hide computational costs of adaptive mesh refinement (AMR). A cloud-based framework dynamically utilizes a distributed pool of the GPUs to parallelize computations of physical simulation software (solver) partitioned across multiple GPUs. A highly parallelized and distributed architecture of the framework provides a hybrid approach that operates partly on GPUs, e.g., to perform the solver computations, and partly on general-purpose processing units (CPUs) to accelerate portions of AMR and mesh processing of an AMR module. In an illustrative embodiment, the technique leverages the GPUs to perform as much of the AMR module processing (e.g., algorithms that rely on fixed topology) that can be naturally and efficiently implemented on the GPUs, while maintaining those portions of processing that do not naturally map onto the GPUs (e.g., algorithms with dynamic topology changes) on CPUs.

  • Patent number: 11849065
Abstract: Various embodiments of the invention are detection systems and methods for detecting call provenance based on call audio. An exemplary embodiment of the detection system can comprise a characterization unit, a labeling unit, and an identification unit. The characterization unit can extract various characteristics of networks through which a call traversed, based on call audio. The labeling unit can be trained on prior call data and can identify one or more codecs used to encode the call, based on the call audio. The identification unit can utilize the characteristics of traversed networks and the identified codecs, and based on this information, the identification unit can provide a provenance fingerprint for the call. Based on the call provenance fingerprint, the detection system can identify, verify, or provide forensic information about a call audio source.

  • Patent number: 11844940
Abstract: A blood pump assembly can include various components such as a housing and a sensor configured to detect one or more characteristics of the blood. In some embodiments, the sensor can be coupled to the housing and can include a sensor membrane configured to deflect in response to a change in a blood parameter (e.g., pressure). The blood pump assembly can include a shield that covers at least a portion of the sensor membrane so as to protect the sensor from damage when the blood pump assembly is inserted through an introducer and navigated through the patient's vasculature and/or when the blood pump assembly is inserted into the heart in a surgical procedure. One or more protective layers can be deposited over the sensor membrane to prevent the sensor membrane from being dissolved through interactions with the patient's blood.

  • Publication number: 20230403255
Abstract: Various embodiments herein include distributed hardware vulnerability identification and resolution. One method embodiment includes conducting an inventory of devices on a network and generating a queue of scanning jobs for each inventoried device to discover possible modes of network entry via each device. The method then proceeds by scanning devices on the network that are to be blocked according to a stored representation of an expected configuration of each device to identify devices of interest and queuing a new job for a deep scan of each device of interest. Each deep scan is executed to search one or both of a greater portion and in greater detail of a device of interest than prior scanning. The method then passes deep scan results to an incident manager to open an incident ticket for each device of interest.

  • Patent number: 11826953
Abstract: 3-D build jobs having surrogate supports, 3-D printers using surrogate supports, and techniques to support vulnerable regions of build pieces using surrogate supports are disclosed. The surrogate supports are generated in a first material configuration and are offset via a gap from the vulnerable regions. The gap comprises a second material configuration, such as loose or partially fused powder on which the build piece can be supported during 3-D printing. In alternative embodiments, the gap instead includes thin manual ties or a solid body using material that is stronger but more amenable to breaking off without damaging the build piece. Post-processing steps are dramatically reduced as the surrogate supports and gaps facilitate virtually error-free separation from the build piece. In an embodiment, the surrogate supports include a support structure extending to a fixed base underneath, the fixed base being a build plate or a global surrogate.
