  • Patent number: 11260314
Abstract: An air amplifier utilizes a high-pressure input stream of air to accelerate a low-velocity input stream of air to provide a high-velocity, high-volume output stream of air. A coupled air amplifier array includes multiple air amplifiers which couple their respective output streams of air to one another to form a single collective output stream of air. Multiple coupled air amplifier arrays can be utilized to form coupled air amplifier array systems to provide multiple collective output streams of air which can be focused toward to an audience within a venue. The coupled air amplifier array system can be implemented within atmospheric effects systems to provide atmospheric effects, such as wind, scent, and/or temperature to provide some examples, relating to an event. These atmospheric effects systems can present these atmospheric effects to the audience to enhance the immersion of the audience as they are viewing the event.

Abstract: A recording head has a near-field transducer proximate a media-facing surface of the recording head. The near-field transducer extends a first distance away from the media-facing surface. A waveguide overlaps and delivers light to the near-field transducer. Two subwavelength focusing mirrors are at an end of the waveguide proximate the media-facing surface. The subwavelength mirrors are on opposite crosstrack sides of the near-field transducer and separated from each other by a crosstrack gap. • Publication number: 20220053435
Abstract: The transmission and reception group delay in a front end structure of a mobile device may be determined using closed loop calibration. The closed loop may be a near field radiated closed loop between pairs of antennas in an antenna array of the mobile device. The delay based on time of transmission and time of reception may be measured for a plurality of pairs of antennas, from which the transmit and receive group delay within a single path may be determined. The propagation delay of the signal between antennas may be included in the group delay calibration for increased accuracy. In another implementation, a conducted closed loop, e.g., in the transceiver or in a radio frequency switching network may be used to calibrate the group delay. Pre-characterization of the delay caused by components between the closed loop and antennas may be included in the group delay calibration for increased accuracy.

  • Patent number: 11235451
Abstract: A staple device with an extension rod allows an installer to use the device to hold and pull tension on a string of wired lights and secure them to a surface, such as the underside of eaves or soffits on a dwelling. The activation of the stapling device is achieved by a pushing motion against the surface to be stapled to rather than the squeezing motion of current stapling devices. The staple device also provides greater mobility to the installer as opposed to the current method of positioning and repositioning a ladder around the base of the dwelling. The present invention allows the installer to quickly traverse the base of the dwelling and install the holiday lights in a more efficient manner than with the use of a ladder and squeeze-type staple staplers.

  • Publication number: 20210397621
Abstract: Systems and methods for processing events are disclosed. Event data comprising passive event data, active event data, or both is received. It is determined whether the received event data is available for a pattern of passive event data and active event data. In response to determining that the received event data is available for the pattern of passive event data and active event data, one or more constraints between the passive event data and the active event data are converted into one or more query terms. The query terms are used to construct at least one query. Remaining passive event data that is related to some, but not all, of the active event data is obtained using the constructed at least one query.
