  • Patent number: 8412169
Abstract: An enhanced services platform has an interface for receiving a communication from a user requesting a desired data. An automated response module parses the communication and retrieves the desired data. The enhanced services platform arranges the desired data into a response message that is sent to the user, where the response message includes an embedded code corresponding to a link allowing the user to re-contact the enhanced services platform. An operator assistance module receives communications from the user initiated via the link to provide further assistance regarding the user's request.

  • Publication number: 20120321065
Abstract: A directory assistance system includes a request handling module for receiving a plurality of incoming directory assistance requests from requesters and an agent platform for handling the directory assistance requests by providing at least one listing to the requester. A record database stores a record relating to the first request, and includes a first identifier, a time and a listing entry. An incoming request tracking module tracks second incoming directory assistance requests, by reviewing a second identifier associated with the directory assistance request, comparing the second identifier against the first identifiers in the records, and if a record has a matching first identifier to second identifier from request, then, prior to the second request being sent to the agent platform, offering to automatically provide the stored listing entry from the record to the requester.

  • Patent number: 8325904
Abstract: A method for providing directory assistance, including receiving at least one request from a requester for an un-listed contact information, where the un-listed contact information is stored in one of a plurality of carrier databases. A request is generated to a third party for the un-listed contact information, where the third party is in contact with the carriers, one of which has the un-listed contact information. A notification is received from the third party indicating that the un-listed contact information has been retrieved by said third party and a message is sent to the un-listed contact information, through the third party, indicating that the requester is trying to contact them.

  • Publication number: 20120267518
Abstract: A sensor protector is intended to reduce the sensitivity of the optical sensor (4) to radiation products which, for example, are formed during sterilization with gamma radiation and to ensure simple and cost-effective manufacture. The sensor protector includes an upper part (1), a lower part (3) and an optical sensor (4). The optical sensor (4) situated on the lower part is positionable in an offset manner with respect to an opening (2) situated in the upper part and movable by means of displacement toward the opening (2) of the upper part (1). The sensor protector is suitable for use in containers and laboratory products that are sterilized by gamma radiation, for example disposable bioreactors.

  • Publication number: 20120266107
Abstract: Systems and methods for facilitating contact information display, management and synchronization are described. A client application on a portable device in communication with a host system provides a mechanism for receiving, displaying, updating, processing and transmitting contact information and data to the host system, where it may then be synchronized with other devices associated with other users. The host system may also collect information from social networking sites and other locations to update and synchronize contact information and data.

  • Patent number: 8254556
Abstract: The present invention is a call routing system for use in directory assistance. The call routing system employs a primary call routing device configured to receive directory assistance calls from callers at a first directory assistance system, and determines, for each of the calls, whether they will be handled by the first directory assistance system, or by a second directory assistance system among a plurality of directory assistance systems. A secondary router is also provided, configured to route the calls within the first directory assistance system to the primary call routing device. The secondary router has a default call distribution logic, such that if the primary call routing device is off-line, the secondary call router routes the calls among the first directory assistance system and the plurality of directory assistance systems according to the default distribution logic.

  • Publication number: 20120066069
Abstract: Systems and methods for providing online sales, advertising, and information distribution are disclosed. A user may provide a request for a mobile advertisement or other mobile content by capturing images or other content associated with items to be listed, and enter and transmit a description of the item or other associated information, typically in the form of text or a text message, to a content management system. The information is then received by the content management system and processed and stored to quickly provide displays, listings, and/or messages associated with the content, based on criteria such as item description or type, location, and price.

  • Publication number: 20120017733
Abstract: Process for closing and cutting into sections a flexible tube, with a cutting element and a pinching closing device for cutting into sections with two cross-sections, each with two parts with indentations that can be placed in removable extension by combination elements and that make a passage with an access, whereby the pinching closing device is in the open or closed state where the cross-sections are closed by locking members and where the surfaces form a pinching closing passage of the tube; the pinching region of the tube is positioned in the indentation of a cross-section; the other cross-section is brought opposite the preceding one and the pinching closing device in the closed state, with cooperation of the locking elements, the tube being positively pinched and closed in two positive pinching zones, and thus held in place; the tube is cut into sections between the parts in the closed state, using the cutting element by passing it into the passage without it interfering with the pinching closing devic

  • Publication number: 20110284776
Abstract: The pinching device includes two cross-sections, each having a hollow part with a male indentation and a female indentation, and locking elements, whereby the surfaces of the indentations form a positive pinching passage of the tube; the male indentation has a U shape with a core and two wings; the female indentation has a U shape with a core and two wings; and the pinching passage has a U shape with a core and two wings; the two opposite wings will draw together toward their ends that are opposite to the cores of the indentations, and each of the two wings of the pinching passage has an opening whose width will diminish towards its end that is opposite to the core of the pinching passage; the width of the opening of the pinching passage is at most slightly smaller than twice the thickness of the wall of the flexible tube to be pinched, and, designed to constitute a pinching closing device, it is disposable, performing a function of closing the tube on itself in the pinching region, preventing any passage of

  • Publication number: 20110275364
Abstract: System(s), device(s), method(s), and user interfaces are provided to enable a subscriber device to report network operation conditions, such as network performance incidents, to receive feedback from the network related to the incident and available or possibly available solutions, and to produce network intelligence suitable for network planning and network performance enhancement. Reporting of network performance incidents can be characterized by location and time of occurrence, wherein these intelligence is provided by the user device. Feedback provided by the network is based on the network performance data received as part of reporting an incident. The reporting described herein enables a network operator to generate network planning intelligence based on actual network performance as experienced at the subscriber level.
