  • Patent number: 9738361
Abstract: The present invention is a submersible device comprising a body encasing an enclosed compressible void capable of physically responding to changes in ambient pressure imparted by the device's depth underwater. This physical response to pressure changes actuates a dynamic dive plane. The forces imparted on the dive plane by the motion of the device through the water drives the device to seek, achieve and then maintain a predetermined depth. This device can be used for fishing applications and other underwater activities that benefit from dynamic depth control.

  • Patent number: 9490973
Abstract: In various implementations, a first device retrieves, from a memory, encrypted data encrypted using a first key. The first device transmits, to a second device, a request for an encrypted first key, where the encrypted first key is generated by encrypting the first key using a second key. The first device receives the encrypted first key. The first device transmits, to an identity and access management device (IAM), a request for an encrypted second key, where the encrypted second key is generated by encrypting the second key using a third key. The first device receives the encrypted second key. The first device decrypts the encrypted second key using the third key, decrypts the encrypted first key using the decrypted second key, and decrypts the encrypted data using the decrypted first key. The first device deletes, from its cache, the decrypted first key after a period of time.

  • Publication number: 20160262671
Abstract: A system to monitor and transmit a plurality of signals based on a characteristic of a user is disclosed. The system comprises a sensor to produce the plurality of signals on a continuous basis, the signals being indicative of a glucose characteristic measured in the user when a portion of the sensor is placed in subcutaneous tissue. The system further includes a recorder including a recorder port to physically couple and interface with a sensor port of the sensor and a dock remotely located from the sensor and the recorder. The dock includes a dock receiver to physically couple and interface with the recorder port. The recorder can record the signals produced from the sensor when the recorder is coupled to the sensor and the recorder can transmit the stored signals to the dock when the recorder is removed from the sensor and coupled to the dock.

  • Patent number: 8919853
Abstract: A deployable step and handle system for a tailgate. The handle is used to secure the deployable step in the stowed position that eliminates the need for a separate release system. The handle is placed adjacent a top edge of the tailgate to prevent debris from being trapped under the handle when the handle is closed. The ladder has a step surface disposed opposite and at an angle relative to a top surface of a spoiler that provides a step surface. The ladder rails are guided by rail guides as the ladder is moved between a stowed position and a deployed position. A unitary support bracket is used to connect both the handle and a ladder rail to the tailgate.
