Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to a content (e.g., media) transfer or fling platform system and method. In a media fling platform system, media items may be cached at a rendering device prior to any selection of media items to fling. The determination of which media to cache may be based on a variety of factors including a user fling history, a currently viewed media item, and a navigation point in the media files. A fling request may take priority over caching, and the fling request may interrupt any caching processes.

Abstract: A local network call handling device is configured to establish multiple concurrent call sessions between local network end devices and an external network. When a prioritized end device attempts to establish a call session, the call handling device may initially determine if a first call session identifier is available. If so, the call session can be established using that first identifier. If the first identifier is in use for a call session of another end device, the call handling device may either use a different call session identifier for the prioritized end device session or may drop a pre-existing call session to free an identifier for use in connection with the prioritized end device.

The MVP may implement a thin layer of software embedded on the device to decouple applications and data from the underlying hardware, thus enabling the device to concurrently run multiple operating systems. Furthermore, the MVP may enable applications to run concurrently per each base band.

The method also includes distinguishing treatment of the phone call from the call source based on the number of received indications.

Abstract: Presented is a method for the surface treatment of objects utilizing thermal plasma, including cascade plasma, and a wrap, such as tape or foil, where the tape or foil attracts the specific part of the plasma which produces a heat necessary to produce the desired treatment. The specific surface treatment may include, but is not limited to, hard-facing, brazing, welding, other types of joining operations, glass bending or forming, glass texturing, coating and surface reconditioning.

The gateway may further include Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) proxy servers for communicating with a second subset of the endpoints. Incoming communications to the premises may be routed by the gateway to one or more of the endpoints via the local physical interfaces or the SIP proxy servers. One or more endpoints may initiate outgoing communications via the local physical interfaces or the SIP proxy servers.

Abstract: Apparatus and method to produce point-of-use compressed superheated steam for a wide variety of uses including, but not limited to, cleaning, heating, drying, surface preparation, sterilization, pest control and elimination, degreasing and food preparation. The apparatus produces and compresses superheated steam without the hazards and problems associated with the current state of the art where steam is generated, compressed and stored in potentially dangerous and maintenance intensive boilers and associated piping and fixtures. The in-line steam generator of the present application produces superheated steam at one atmosphere which is immediately pressurized using a compression means and then immediately utilized through application employing a nozzle or a storage tank or other such device.

Abstract: A compact steaming device, which may be handheld, and method for the generation at one atmosphere and projection of superheated steam over objects and surfaces for the elimination and control of unwanted microorganisms and pests including, but not limited to bedbugs, fleas, ants, lice and mites. A preferred embodiment of such a compact device comprises a vessel, a base, heating coils, a superheated steam generator and an external power supply for the initial boiling of a liquid to vapor and for subsequent heating of the vapor to superheated temperatures. The device and method allow for the generation of steam or gas and subsequent superheating to be accomplished safely at one atmosphere. The preferred embodiment allows for the free flow of the gas through and out of the compact device safely and effectively relieving any resulting pressure. A multi-watt embodiment is also envisioned which may be handheld or stationary.

When overlay video operations are desired, the device may resize the incoming video, generate one or more additional overlays, and generate a modified version of the incoming video signal, where the modified version contains the one or more additional overlays along with (if desired) the original video. The device may have data network connections, and can thereby serve as an easy way, for example, to upgrade an existing video system with network and/or interactive features.
