  • Publication number: 20220253182
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for determining focus of a user is provided. User input is received. An intention image of a scene including a plurality of interactive objects is generated. The intention image includes pixels encoded with intention values determined based on the user input. An intention value indicates a likelihood that the user intends to focus on the pixel. An intention score is determined for each interactive object based on the intention values of pixels that correspond to the interactive object. An interactive object of the plurality of interactive objects is determined to be a focused object that has the user's focus based on the intention scores of the plurality of interactive objects.

  • Patent number: 11409669
Abstract: Executable memory space is protected by receiving, from a process, a request to configure a portion of memory with a memory protection attribute that allows the process to perform at least one memory operation on the portion of the memory. Thereafter, the request is responded to with a grant, configuring the portion of memory with a different memory protection attribute than the requested memory protection attribute. The different memory protection attribute restricting the at least one memory operation from being performed by the process on the portion of the memory. In addition, it is detected when the process attempts, in accordance with the grant, the at least one memory operation at the configured portion of memory. Related systems and articles of manufacture, including computer program products, are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 11373397
Abstract: Methods and systems for operating a moving platform to determine data associated with a target person or object are disclosed. In an example method to determine at least one of an object or an activity associated with the target, a first moving platform, configured with a first type of sensor, is caused to move to an area associated with the target. The target is located at the area. An attempt is made to determine, via the first moving platform and the first type of sensor, the at least one of the object or activity. Based on the attempt, a second moving platform, configured with a second type of sensor, is caused to move to the area. The at least one of the object or activity associated with the target is determined via the second moving platform and the second type of sensor.

  • Publication number: 20220200192
Abstract: A card connector that is removably fixable to a main body of a carrier system. For example, an outer flange of the card connector may be removably fixed (e.g., with fasteners, such as bolts) to the main body of the carrier system. A protrusion of the card connector may include a connector configured to electrically couple to the plugin card. The protrusion may extend into an interior of the main body when the card connector is removably fixed to the main body, such that the plugin card is disposed entirely within the main body. The card connector provides for a user to easily remove the card connector from the main body (e.g. by unfastening bolts and sliding the card connector out of the main body) and removably fix a new card connector to the main body. The new card connector may include different internal electronics or external porting than the original card connector.

  • Patent number: 11320911
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for detecting user-object interaction in mixed-reality environments. A mixed-reality system detects a controller gesture with an associated controller orientation in the mixed-reality environment. The mixed-reality system then determines an interaction region for the controller gesture and identifies one or more virtual objects within the interaction region. The virtual objects each have an associated orientation affinity. Subsequently, the mixed-reality system determines an orientation similarity score between the controller orientation and the orientation affinity for each virtual object within the interaction region. In response to determining that at least one orientation similarity score exceeds a predetermined threshold, the mixed-reality system executes an interaction between the controller and the virtual object that has the greatest orientation similarity score.

  • Publication number: 20220038848
Abstract: A method of assuring integrity of range measurements and position solutions comprises obtaining range measurement statistics between nodes in a network, performing a snapshot integrity test for the range measurement statistics, and performing a sequential integrity test using the range measurement statistics. The snapshot integrity test comprises using Gram matrices along with a current configuration of the nodes; performing a singular value consistency check using the Gram matrices against a user selected threshold; and detecting/excluding range measurement statistics with instantaneous errors that cause the singular value to exceed the threshold.
