  • Patent number: 11373398
Abstract: Methods and systems for operating a moving platform to determine an identity of an unidentified target are disclosed. In an example method to determine the identity of the unidentified target, a first moving platform, configured with a first type of sensor, is caused to move to an area associated with the target. An attempt is made to determine, via the first moving platform and the first type of sensor, the identity of the target. Based on the attempt, a second moving platform, configured with a second type of sensor, is caused to move to the area. The identity of the target is determined via the second moving platform and the second type of sensor.

  • Publication number: 20220200192
Abstract: A card connector that is removably fixable to a main body of a carrier system. For example, an outer flange of the card connector may be removably fixed (e.g., with fasteners, such as bolts) to the main body of the carrier system. A protrusion of the card connector may include a connector configured to electrically couple to the plugin card. The protrusion may extend into an interior of the main body when the card connector is removably fixed to the main body, such that the plugin card is disposed entirely within the main body. The card connector provides for a user to easily remove the card connector from the main body (e.g. by unfastening bolts and sliding the card connector out of the main body) and removably fix a new card connector to the main body. The new card connector may include different internal electronics or external porting than the original card connector.

Abstract: A system may be configured to provide a main body, configured to house a plugin card, and a card connector, including a first printed circuit board (PCB) having a backplane configured to electrically couple to the plugin card, a third PCB having a plurality of ruggedized connectors configured to couple to an external system, and a second PCB interposed between the first and third PCBs. The processor may be mounted on the second PCB and may determine a state of at least a portion of the system based on a sensor output, an input signal and/or an output signal, and an internal data value. The state may comprise at least one of operational, less than operational, tampered, needing maintenance, needing repair, and not working. And the determination may be performed via one or more criteria being satisfied.

  • Patent number: 11320911
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for detecting user-object interaction in mixed-reality environments. A mixed-reality system detects a controller gesture with an associated controller orientation in the mixed-reality environment. The mixed-reality system then determines an interaction region for the controller gesture and identifies one or more virtual objects within the interaction region. The virtual objects each have an associated orientation affinity. Subsequently, the mixed-reality system determines an orientation similarity score between the controller orientation and the orientation affinity for each virtual object within the interaction region. In response to determining that at least one orientation similarity score exceeds a predetermined threshold, the mixed-reality system executes an interaction between the controller and the virtual object that has the greatest orientation similarity score.

  • Publication number: 20220038848
Abstract: A method of assuring integrity of range measurements and position solutions comprises obtaining range measurement statistics between nodes in a network, performing a snapshot integrity test for the range measurement statistics, and performing a sequential integrity test using the range measurement statistics. The snapshot integrity test comprises using Gram matrices along with a current configuration of the nodes; performing a singular value consistency check using the Gram matrices against a user selected threshold; and detecting/excluding range measurement statistics with instantaneous errors that cause the singular value to exceed the threshold.

  • Publication number: 20210383594
Abstract: A head-mounted display comprises a display device and an outward-facing depth camera. A storage machine comprises instructions executable by a logic machine to present one or more virtual objects on the display device, to receive information from the depth camera about an environment, and to determine a position of the head-mounted display within the environment. Based on the position of the head-mounted display, a position of a joint of a user's arm is inferred. Based on the information received from the depth camera, a position of a user's hand is determined. A ray is cast from a portion of the user's hand based on the position of the joint of the user's arm and the position of the user's hand. Responsive to the ray intersecting with one or more control points of a virtual object, the user is provided with an indication that the virtual object is being targeted.

  • Patent number: 11175142
Abstract: In one embodiment, a method of tracking multiple objects with a probabilistic hypothesis density filter is provided. The method includes obtaining measurements corresponding to a first object with at least one sensor, the at least one sensor providing one or more first track IDs for the measurements. A Tk+1 first predicted intensity is generated for the first object based on a Tk first track intensity. A Tk+1 measurement from a first sensor of the at least one sensors is obtained, the first sensor providing a second track ID for the Tk+1 measurement. The second track ID is compared to the one or more first track IDs, and the Tk+1 first predicted intensity is selectively updated with the Tk+1 measurement based on whether the second track ID matches any of the one or more first track IDs to generate a Tk+1 first measurement-to-track intensity for the first object.

  • Publication number: 20210295813
Abstract: A sound isolation assembly comprising: a center ferrule; a top grommet isolator; a bottom grommet isolator; a spring; and a furring channel engagement portion. The sound isolation assembly is configured to engage with a structure and a furring channel, which itself is connected to a ceiling panel, such that the noise passing from one floor to the other is lessened as compared to a control system that does not use the sound isolation assembly. The spring may be steel and the grommet isolators may be rubber or the like, and the combination of the steel spring and grommet isolators reduces noise.
