  • Publication number: 20210279577
Abstract: Technology is described for generating tests to execute against a process. The method can include identifying a data store of input operation requests for the process, and the input operation requests are recorded for requests received to operate functionality of the process. Another operation can be training a deep neural network model using the input operation requests to enable the deep neural network model to generate output series based in part on the input operation requests. Test series can be generated using the deep neural network model. The test series are executable to activate functionality of the process in order to test portions of the process. A further operation may be executing the test series on the process in order to test functionality of the process.

  • Patent number: 11107265
Abstract: A head-mounted display comprises a display device and an outward-facing depth camera. A storage machine comprises instructions executable by a logic machine to present one or more virtual objects on the display device, to receive information from the depth camera about an environment, and to determine a position of the head-mounted display within the environment. Based on the position of the head-mounted display, a position of a joint of a user's arm is inferred. Based on the information received from the depth camera, a position of a user's hand is determined. A ray is cast from a portion of the user's hand based on the position of the joint of the user's arm and the position of the user's hand. Responsive to the ray intersecting with one or more control points of a virtual object, the user is provided with an indication that the virtual object is being targeted.

  • Publication number: 20210252902
Abstract: The disclosure relates to an optical security feature that is based on a single axis alignment of mirrors or facets in a structured surface that forms a micro mirror array. In an aspect, a device is described that includes a reflecting structure on a first layer, where the reflecting structure has a top surface with multiple embossed facets arranged in a spatial orientation that produces a flat ring optical effect upon incidence of light. In another aspect, a method for making the device is described that provides a reflecting layer and produces the reflecting structure on the reflecting layer with multiple facets arranged in the spatial orientation to produce the flat ring optical effect. In yet another aspect, an apparatus for making the device is described that includes a pressing device and a stamping device to transfer a pattern of the reflecting structure to a reflecting material.

  • Publication number: 20210145040
Abstract: A system according to various embodiments can include a source for supplying a material to be treated, an extruder, at least two screws, and a drive coupled to the screws for axially rotating the screws. The extruder includes an inlet for receiving the material, which is fed therein in a controlled manner. The screws are provided within the housing of the extruder. The screws have a plurality of compression and release stages that create mechanical heat which is directly applied to the material to change the mechanical properties of the material thereby facilitating a conversion of a physical state of the material from a non-compactable state to a compactable state as the screws rotate and move the material longitudinally along the screws to produce a final product, for example, a feed tub for use as an animal feed.

  • Patent number: 10968864
Abstract: A nacelle is configured to be coupled to an underside of a wing and forms a clearance space between the nacelle and a leading edge slat of the wing. A portion of an outlet cowling moves longitudinally aft when a reverse thrust configuration is activated and the leading edge slat is deployed toward the nacelle. The outlet cowling also includes another portion located adjacent to the leading edge slat that does not move when the reverse thrust configuration is activated and thus maintains its clearance space from the leading edge slat.

  • Publication number: 20210060192
Abstract: An antimicrobial device, such as a flashlight, lantern, or lamp, is discussed herein. The antimicrobial device produces light in the ultraviolet (UV) spectrum (i.e., 150-250 nm), including 200-230 nm. The antimicrobial device includes an electron source, an extractor, and a target material. The electron source provides the electrons of sufficient energy to cause a photon to be released, whether by a target or by the electron itself. The extractor extracts the electrons from the electron source. The target material is a component at which the electron is directed. The target material can release a photon having a desired wavelength or within a desired wavelength range or cause the electron to release a photon having a desired wavelength or within a desired wavelength range.

  • Publication number: 20210011858
Abstract: Executable memory space is protected by receiving, from a process, a request to configure a portion of memory with a memory protection attribute that allows the process to perform at least one memory operation on the portion of the memory. Thereafter, the request is responded to with a grant, configuring the portion of memory with a different memory protection attribute than the requested memory protection attribute. The different memory protection attribute restricting the at least one memory operation from being performed by the process on the portion of the memory. In addition, it is detected when the process attempts, in accordance with the grant, the at least one memory operation at the configured portion of memory.
