  • Patent number: 11765848
Abstract: Example implementations relate to a host electronic device configured for establishing a thermal contact between a heat generating component of a removable electronic device, and a cooling component of the host electronic device, when the removable electronic device is detachably connected to the host electronic device. The host electronic device includes a support structure, the cooling component, a driver, and an actuator. The cooling component is movably connected to the support structure. The driver is also movably connected to the support structure. The actuator is movably connected to the support structure and the driver. The actuator, upon contact by the removable device, causes a movement of the cooling component via the driver for establishing the thermal contact between the cooling component and the heat generating component.

  • Patent number: 11759879
Abstract: A welding method includes feeding a welding electrode axially from a welding torch, moving the welding electrode radially in a desired pattern with respect to a central axis of the welding torch by a motion control assembly within the welding torch, transmitting from control circuitry a signal corresponding to a position of the welding electrode relative to a weld joint or weld pool, advancing the welding torch or a workpiece to establish a weld, and transferring material from the welding electrode to a first location in an area of the weld pool. The welding electrode moves radially while feeding the welding electrode from the welding torch, the material from the welding electrode is transferred to the first location during a first cycle of the desired pattern, and the first location is controlled based at least in part on the signal.

  • Publication number: 20230290468
Abstract: A compute device may include circuitry configured to obtain patient state data that may be indicative of a heart rate of the patient or a respiration rate of the patient. The circuitry may also be configured to obtain patient medication data indicative of a schedule for administration of pain medication to the patient. Further, the circuitry may be configured to determine whether a trend in the patient state data satisfies a predefined condition, determine whether the patient medication data indicates that the patient is due for administration of pain medication within a predefined time period, determine, in response to a determination that the trend in the patient state data satisfies the predefined condition and a determination that the patient is due for administration of pain medication within the predefined time period, that the patient is experiencing pain, and produce an alert signal that the patient is in pain.

  • Patent number: 11755327
Abstract: Delivering immediate values by using program counter (PC)-relative load instructions to fetch literal data in processor-based devices is disclosed. In this regard, a processing element (PE) of a processor-based device provides an execution pipeline circuit that comprises an instruction processing portion and a data access portion. Using a literal data access logic circuit, the PE detects a PC-relative load instruction within a fetch window that includes multiple fetched instructions. The PE determines that the PC-relative load instruction can be serviced using literal data that is available to the instruction processing portion of the execution pipeline circuit (e.g., located within the fetch window containing the PC-relative load instruction, or stored in a literal pool buffer), The PE then retrieves the literal data within the instruction processing portion of the execution pipeline circuit, and executes the PC-relative load instruction using the literal data.

  • Publication number: 20230275969
Abstract: A wireless User Equipment (UE) hosts a microservice. In the wireless UE, a user interface presents user options to a user and receives user instructions from the user. Communication circuitry wirelessly transfers the user instructions to a microservice control system, and in response, wirelessly receives microservice instructions and a microservice application from the microservice control system. User circuitry in the wireless UE executes the microservice application in an operating system container per the microservice instructions and responsively generates microservice data for a microservice data system. The communication circuitry wirelessly transfers the microservice data to the microservice data system. This hosted microservices platform supports a variety of applications beyond smartphone owner usage. To that end, the smartphone owner may get financially compensated for those extra use cases according to a variety of factors.

  • Patent number: 11739452
Abstract: Thermally stable absorbable fiber populations, i.e. fiber populations that do not undergo thermally induced crystallization, can be intermixed to yield a stabilizing effect without altering morphological properties of a first fiber system. By addition of a stabilizing fiber population one may minimize thermally induced shrinkage and maintain physical properties of electrospun materials in the as-formed state. In one particular abstract, medical barrier materials may be formed from the electrospun materials to provide improved medical barriers for treatments.
