  • Publication number: 20240264858
Abstract: A facility for operating an application on a server having a number of processors is described. The facility receives a number of application requests, each addressed to one of a plurality of instances of the application executing on the server. The facility causes each received application request to be processed in the application instance to which it was addressed, using exclusively processing resources of a selected one of the plurality of processors on which the application instance was invoked, using exclusively memory locations served by memory modules to which the selected processor is directly connected.

  • Patent number: 12051140
Abstract: Systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable media can identify a virtual character being presented to a user within a real-time immersive environment. A first animation to be applied to the virtual character is determined. A nonverbal communication animation to be applied to the virtual character simultaneously with the first animation is determined. The virtual character is animated in real-time based on the first animation and the nonverbal communication animation.

  • Patent number: 12048649
Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide a probe comprising a tube, wherein one or more optical fibers extend at least partially through the tube for transmitting at least one of a laser light and an illumination light from a light source to a target location. A distal end of the tube comprises a flat-walled morphology, and a protective window with a round edge is press-fit to the distal end. The flat-walled morphology of the distal end of the tube has a reduced diametric interference sensitivity, thus allowing a wider range of tolerances between the window and the tube walls for effective press-fitting.

  • Publication number: 20240248887
Abstract: A content management system provides a mechanism for representing a particular piece of metadata in multiple languages. The multilingual metadata system provides a user with an ability to visualize a single translation in a language of the user's preference or based on the user's locale. The system receives an indication that at least one metadata field associated with a managed object contains multilingual metadata. A locale metadata table and a new metadata table for the managed object are created using information from an original metadata table for the managed object. Two or more metadata field values representing at least two languages are received by the system. The metadata fields are tagged with locale information and stored in the locale metadata table in association with the at least one metadata field in the new metadata table.

  • Publication number: 20240243814
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for improving signal propagation using lasers. A laser device is used to clear the air between a first fixed station, such as a base station, and a second fixed station, such as a fixed wireless access device. In the wake of the laser, particles in the air interface are cleared along a path that can then be used to communicate one or more sets of wireless signals. In the wake of the laser, the wireless signals experience less absorption, reflection, and refraction, reducing path loss, and increasing the overall effectiveness of the wireless system—particularly at or near the cell edge or when a meteorological condition exists between the fixed stations.

  • Publication number: 20240235543
Abstract: A driver can be configured to provide sensed phase currents as feedback to a controller to indicate the output currents from each phase of a switch mode power supply (SMPS). The driver can be configured to temperature compensate the sensed currents in one of two ways. If a temperature sensor is directly coupled to the driver, then the driver may be configured to temperature compensate the sensed currents from each phase based on a temperature measurement made by the temperature sensor. If a temperature sensor is not directly coupled to the driver, then the driver may be configured to temperature compensate the sensed current from each phase based on a temperature signal received from a bus coupled to the driver. The bus can communicate the temperature signal so that multiple drivers can utilize one temperature sensor.

Abstract: A method of applying a paint film to a substrate may include wetting a surface of the substrate or an adhesive layer of a paint film to form a fluid layer thereon. The paint film may further comprise a polymer film layer. The method may further include applying the paint film to the substrate such that the fluid layer is positioned between the adhesive layer and the surface. The applied paint film may be heated with infrared heat to facilitate the removal of the fluid layer and adhere the adhesive layer to the surface. • Publication number: 20240229395
Abstract: A structure for the protection of a shoreline by the attenuation of wave energy, the structural features of which facilitate its use as a marine habitat, which includes a plurality of primary and secondary wave attenuation devices collectively and cooperatively disposed in an operative position relative to one another and a shoreline. Common structural features of the primary and secondary wave attenuation devices include an at least partially corresponding dimension and hollow interior bounded by angularly oriented sidewalls and outer walls, which have an apertured construction. Apertures or openings respectively formed in the sidewalls and outer walls facilitate fluid flow through the operatively disposed wave attenuation devices via flow into and out of the corresponding hollow interiors thereof.

  • Patent number: 12028423
Abstract: A wireless User Equipment (UE) hosts a microservice. In the wireless UE, a user interface presents user options to a user and receives user instructions from the user. Communication circuitry wirelessly transfers the user instructions to a microservice control system, and in response, wirelessly receives microservice instructions and a microservice application from the microservice control system. User circuitry in the wireless UE executes the microservice application in an operating system container per the microservice instructions and responsively generates microservice data for a microservice data system. The communication circuitry wirelessly transfers the microservice data to the microservice data system. This hosted microservices platform supports a variety of applications beyond smartphone owner usage. To that end, the smartphone owner may get financially compensated for those extra use cases according to a variety of factors.

  • Patent number: 12016764
Abstract: Implantable medical devices have zones of high in vivo stability that are adjacent to zones of relatively low in vivo stability, so that when these medical devices are implanted into a host, the zones of low in vivo stability degrade first and allow the formation of independent segments of relatively intact high in vivo stability bands that are sufficiently small that they may pass from the host in a non-harmful manner.

  • Patent number: 12019609
Abstract: A content management system provides a mechanism for multi-file check-in features useful for content management. The content management system provides a way for users to check in multiple files in a single action. The system allows users to either select assets (e.g., files) or drag and drop multiple assets to be checked in. The assets being checked in are automatically matched with checked out assets, and once matched, unlocked.

  • Publication number: 20240201999
Abstract: Accelerating fetch target queue (FTQ) processing is disclosed herein. In some aspects, a processor comprises an FTQ and an FTQ acceleration cache (FAC), and is configured to generate a FAC entry corresponding to an FTQ entry of a plurality of FTQ entries of the FTQ, wherein the FTQ entry comprises a fetch address bundle comprising a plurality of sequential virtual addresses (VAs), and the FAC entry comprises metadata for the FTQ entry. The processor is further configured to receive, using the FTQ, a request to access the FTQ entry. The processor is also configured to, responsive to receiving the request to access the FTQ entry, locate, using the FAC, the FAC entry corresponding to the FTQ entry among a plurality of FAC entries of the FAC. The processor is additionally configured to perform accelerated processing of the request to access the FTQ entry using the metadata of the FAC entry.

  • Publication number: 20240201998
Abstract: Performing storage-free instruction cache hit prediction is disclosed herein. In some aspects, a processor comprises an instruction cache hit prediction circuit that is configured to detect that a first access by a branch predictor circuit to a branch target buffer (BTB) for a first instruction in an instruction stream results in a miss on the BTB. In response to detecting the miss, the instruction cache hit prediction circuit is further configured to generate a first instruction cache prefetch request for the first instruction. The instruction cache hit prediction circuit is also configured to transmit the first instruction cache prefetch request to a prefetcher circuit.
