  • Patent number: 11504635
Abstract: A media system employs techniques to create a framework for evaluating gameplay content in a vector-space. These techniques include monitoring frames for content streams that correspond to gameplay in a game environment, determining feature-values for features associated with the frames, mapping the content streams to position vectors in the vector-space based on the feature-values, and assigning a set of position vectors in the vector-space to an area in the game environment based on a relative proximity of the set of position vectors in the vector-space.

  • Publication number: 20220357914
Abstract: A 3D scene is generated consisting of one or more objects from a natural language description that may consist of text or voice. Relevant keywords like asset attributes and placement are extracted from the description. Using these keywords, a 2D image is generated using a generative model. Another neural model is used to reconstruct the 3D objects from the 2D. The 3D objects can be assembled to meet the placement specifications. Alternatively, the 3D object is generated by either transforming existing 3D objects or by using a 3D generative model to meet the specifications in the description.

  • Publication number: 20220356400
Abstract: A method and a system for in-situ remediation of recalcitrant organic and inorganic contaminants in an environmental medium are disclosed. Dissolved gases from water and an oil are removed to form degassed water and a degassed oil. The degassed water and the degassed oil are mixed to form a surfactant-free oil-in water emulsion. The surfactant-free oil-in-water emulsion is injected into the environmental medium, thereby producing anaerobic conditions to cause indigenous anerobic bacteria to biodegrade residual concentrations of the contaminants in the environmental medium.

  • Publication number: 20220326233
Abstract: In one embodiment, the present invention includes a system for detecting a target analyte which includes a microfluidic device having least one microfluidic channel with a binding surface positioned in the microfluidic channel with further include a first electrode and a second electrode. The system may further include a detector and a voltage supply. Also included is a method to detect a target analyte using a described microfluidics device, introducing solution with a target analyte to a binding surface, and binding the target analyte to the binding surface by applying an electrical potential between the first and second electrodes during at least a portion of the binding step, which enhances the rate of binding of the target analyte molecules to the binding molecules. The method then includes the steps of detecting a reporter molecule which corresponds to the amount of the bound target analyte molecules, which correlates with the amount of target analyte in the original sample.

  • Patent number: 11452941
Abstract: Techniques for emoji-based communications derived from facial features during game play provide a communication channel accessible by players associated with gameplay hosted by the online game platform and capture an image of a user using a controller that includes a camera. The techniques further determine facial features of the user based on the image, generate an emoji based on the facial features of the user, and transmit the emoji to the players associated with the online game platform over the communication channel.

  • Publication number: 20220288489
Abstract: Content is projected onto on the surface of water such that it can be viewed from either above or below the surface. Using distortion mapping, depth sensing, and de-noising, the image can remain unaffected by ripples and allow the user to interact within the body of liquid and/or use it as input. Liquids of different density can be layered on the surface to create different refraction planes. Water currents and jets can be used to actively reduce ripples from user interaction, as well as actively adding or removing liquid from the container to counteract displacement or create effect.

  • Publication number: 20220288492
Abstract: Sensors including eye tracking sensors, accelerometers and other motion sensors, and muscle sensors identify the timing gap between a computer game object appearing on the screen, the user shifting his attention to the object, and the user taking action in response to the object. If the user's reaction time falls outside of an expected window but the intent was correct, the game adjusts its outcome to preserve the intended experience.

  • Publication number: 20220286485
Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, providing a request associated with a call session to a server, wherein the request includes capability information associated with user equipment. A codec is identified according to the capability information to obtain an identified codec, which facilitates media service to the user equipment. The media service is accessed from a media resource function, which in turn, is accessed by the server responsive to the identified codec. An operable resource identifier is identified responsive to a search of a codec table, wherein the server accesses the operable resource identifier associated with the media resource function from a domain name server responsive to the resource identifier not being available at the codec table. Other embodiments are disclosed.

  • Patent number: 11431952
Abstract: A space in which an augmented reality (AR) computer simulation is played is mapped by multiple cameras. An AR video game player can select a location in space from which the AR player wishes to have a view of the space, including himself. Using the mapping of the space a synthesized video is generated as if from a camera located at the location in space selected by the player.

  • Publication number: 20220267175
Abstract: The present invention entails a method of treating an ion exchange regenerant stream containing selenate and removing the selenate from the regenerant stream through an oxidation-reduction process where selenate is reduced to selenite and the selenite is adsorbed onto an adsorbent which, in one embodiment, comprises iron oxide or iron oxyhydroxide. In particular, the method includes catalytically reducing the selenate to selenite in a selenate reduction reactor by reacting iron powder with the selenate in the presence of a nickel powder, which functions as a catalyst, to form selenite which is then adsorbed onto the iron oxide or iron oxyhydroxide.

  • Publication number: 20220255874
Abstract: A network device may receive traffic to be processed by a routing component, and may determine temperatures of an ASIC and an HBM of the routing component at a first time. The network device may determine whether the temperature of the ASIC satisfies a first ASIC temperature threshold or a second ASIC temperature threshold, and may determine whether the temperature of the HBM satisfies a first HBM temperature threshold or a second HBM temperature threshold. The network device may selectively throttle processing of the traffic by a first quantity when the temperature of the ASIC satisfies the first ASIC temperature threshold or the temperature of the HBM satisfies the first HBM temperature threshold, or throttle the processing of the traffic by a second quantity when the temperature of the ASIC satisfies the second ASIC temperature threshold or the temperature of the HBM satisfies the second HBM temperature threshold.
