  • Publication number: 20230090253
Abstract: Systems and methods for digital avatars, specifically for fashion and consumer goods, are provided. This system is useful with an identified avatar, environment, and objects that a user may author, edit, and place. A user may deploy an avatar that resembles themselves via augmented reality, virtual reality, and other types of media. These systems include a user interface, administrative interface, economic systems and means of managing assets and protecting users' data. The systems incorporate mechanisms of controlling the avatar, means of integrating physical sensor data that interoperates with the virtual, and means of predicting related trends, choices, and behavior. Various features are employed for increased efficiency, accuracy, and believability.

  • Publication number: 20230083591
Abstract: A media system employs techniques to create a framework for evaluating gameplay content in a vector-space. These techniques include monitoring frames for content streams that correspond to gameplay in a game environment, determining feature-values for features associated with the frames, mapping the content streams to position vectors in the vector-space based on the feature-values, and assigning a set of position vectors in the vector-space to an area in the game environment based on a relative proximity of the set of position vectors in the vector-space.

  • Patent number: 11590416
Abstract: “Feature points” in “point clouds” that are visible to multiple respective cameras (i.e., aspects of objects imaged by the cameras) are reported via wired and/or wireless communication paths to a compositing processor which can determine whether a particular feature point “moved” a certain amount relative to another image. In this way, the compositing processor can determine, e.g., using triangulation and recognition of common features, how much movement occurred and where any particular camera was positioned when a latter image from that camera is captured. Thus, “overlap” of feature points in multiple images is used so that the system can close the loop to generate a SLAM map. The compositing processor, which may be implemented by a server or other device, generates the SLAM map by merging feature point data from multiple imaging devices.

  • Patent number: 11568604
Abstract: Methods and systems for presenting an object on a screen of a head mounted display (HMD) include receiving an image of a real-world environment in proximity of a user wearing the HMD. The image is received from one or more forward facing cameras of the HMD and processed for rendering on a screen of the HMD by a processor within the HMD. A gaze direction of the user wearing the HMD, is detected using one or more gaze detecting cameras of the HMD that are directed toward one or each eye of the user. Images captured by the forward facing cameras are analyzed to identify an object captured in the real-world environment that is in line with the gaze direction of the user, wherein the image of the object is rendered at a first virtual distance that causes the object to appear out-of-focus when presented to the user. A signal is generated to adjust a zoom factor for lens of the one or more forward facing cameras so as to cause the object to be brought into focus.

  • Patent number: 11568265
Abstract: An autonomous personal companion executing a method including capturing data related to user behavior. Patterns of user behavior are identified in the data and classified using predefined patterns associated with corresponding predefined tags to generate a collected set of one or more tags. The collected set is compared to sets of predefined tags of a plurality of scenarios, each to one or more predefined patterns of user behavior and a corresponding set of predefined tags. A weight is assigned to each of the sets of predefined tags, wherein each weight defines a corresponding match quality between the collected set of tags and a corresponding set of predefined tags. The sets of predefined tags are sorted by weight in descending order. A matched scenario is selected for the collected set of tags that is associated with a matched set of predefined tags having a corresponding weight having the highest match quality.

  • Publication number: 20220383576
Abstract: Computer animation involving monocular pose prediction is disclosed. A plurality of candidate pose sequences of a three-dimensional model of an animation character is generated such that each candidate pose of each sequence has a segmentation map that matches a segmentation map of a corresponding character derived from a corresponding frame of a video. A distance between candidate poses at each time step is maximized. An optimum pose sequence is determined and used to generate a corresponding sequence of frames of animation.
