  • Patent number: 11287880
Abstract: Player-to-player eye contact is used to establish a private chat channel in an augmented reality (AR) or virtual reality (VR) setting. Since maintaining eye contact requires agreement from both parties, it allows both players an equal amount of control when performing the mutual action. Eye tracking may be used for determining whether mutual eye contact has been established. In the case of AR, “inside out” eye tracking can be used, whereas in a VR setting only inside eye tracking need be used. Techniques are described to confirm and establish a channel once eye contact has been held.

  • Patent number: 11288767
Abstract: Systems and methods for unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) course profiling are provided. A plurality of images may be captured by a UAV flying along a course at a first location. A profile may be constructed for the course based on the images captured by the UAV. The constructed course profile is transmitted over a communication network to a virtual reality system at a second location. • Patent number: 11263796
Abstract: Computer animation involving monocular pose prediction is disclosed. A plurality of candidate pose sequences of a three-dimensional model of an animation character is generated such that each candidate pose of each sequence has a segmentation map that matches a segmentation map of a corresponding character derived from a corresponding frame of a video. • Publication number: 20220058220
Abstract: A journal of operations persistently stores a collection of user and machine interactions with documents, concepts within documents, and relationships/mentions among such documents and concepts. A knowledge graph or other visual expression can be used to provide an interactive format for user interactions with this information, and to visually display the accumulated information in the journal of operations on user's device of choice. Such accumulations are often called aggregations or aggregates. Both human users and computer users such as automated recommendation engines, machine learning algorithms, and the like can interact with the journal of operations to facilitate computer-assisted discovery and organization of data around a topic of interest to the human user. The resulting journal of operations and aggregations of those operations such as a knowledge graph or other visual expression(s) also provides a useful medium for sharing knowledge with other users and collaborating on investigation of a topic.

  • Patent number: 11248265
Abstract: Provided herein are fully-automated next-generation sequencing platforms and processes for detection of a target specimen (e.g., SARS-CoV-2) and for distinguishing infectious from non-infectious signals from the specimen. An analysis can provide simultaneous diagnosis and genomic surveillance of a multitude of distinct specimens in a sample information. The analysis can comprise distinguishing between infectious versus infectious specimens and provide a recommendation as to how infectious the sample can be. The information can be used to better inform the status of a subject or a location with regards to infectivity from the specimen.

  • Publication number: 20220032979
Abstract: A method analyzes conditions of technical components in view of a rarity and/or an abnormality of a condition. To provide a reliable analysis and thus a safely operating system the method includes: a) describing conditions of the technical components in a behavioral input space that is spanned by state variables, which are characteristic for the technical components, b) analyzing a condition of one technical component in respect to other conditions of this technical component in the behavioral input space, whereby a rarity of this condition of the technical component is detectable, and c) analyzing the condition of the technical component also in respect to analyses of conditions of further technical components in the behavioral input space. Whereby an abnormality of the condition of the technical component is detectable.

  • Patent number: 11222549
Abstract: A collision avoidance system for an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) receives physical space data for a flight area and creates a virtual world model to represent the flight area by mapping the physical space data with a physics engine. The automatic collision avoidance system creates a virtual UAV model to represent the UAV in the virtual world model. The automatic collision avoidance system receives flight data for the UAV and determines a current position of the virtual UAV model within the virtual world model. The automatic collision avoidance system determines a predicted trajectory of the virtual UAV model within the virtual world model, and determines whether the predicted trajectory will result in a collision of the virtual UAV model with the virtual world model. The automatic collision avoidance system performs evasive actions by the UAV, in response to determining that the predicted trajectory will result in a collision.
