    Abstract: The present invention provides a method of fabricating vertical LED structures in which the substrate used for epitaxial layer growth is removed through polishing. The polishing technique used in an exemplary embodiment is chemical mechanical polishing using polish stops to provide a sufficiently level plane. Polish stops are provided in the multilayer structure before polishing the surface, the hardness of the polish stop material being greater than the hardness of the material that needs to be removed. Consequently, vertical LEDs can be produced at a lower cost and higher yield compared to either laser lift-off or conventional polishing. Exemplary vertical LEDs are GaN LEDs. The polish stops may be removed by saw dicing, laser dicing or plasma etching.

    Abstract: A wiring structure for improving a crown-like defect and a fabrication method thereof are provided. The method includes the following steps. A substrate, on which a seed layer and a patterned photoresist layer with an opening are formed, is provided. A copper layer, having a bottom covering the seed layer, is formed in the opening. A barrier layer covering at least one top portion of the copper layer is formed on the copper layer. An oxidation potential of the barrier layer is greater than that of the copper layer. The patterned photoresist layer is removed to perform an etching process, wherein the copper layer and a portion of the seed layer exposed are etched to form a wiring layer. An immersion process is performed to form an anti-oxidation layer comprehensively on exposed surfaces of the barrier layer and the wiring layer.

The first conduit comprises a first outlet configured to pass the mist therethrough and the second conduit comprises a second outlet configured to pass the heated stream therethrough. The second outlet is positioned proximate to the first outlet. A portion of the mist evaporates into a vapor for decontamination of an environment when mixed with the heated stream outside of the first outlet, the second outlet, and the decontamination apparatus.

Therefore, the TFT needs no compensation capacitor, thereby, increasing the aperture ratio of the TFT.

    Abstract: A multi-functional composite substrate structure is provided. The first substrate with high dielectric constant and the second substrate with low dielectric constant and low loss tangent are interlaced above the third substrate. One or more permeance blocks may be formed above each substrate, so that one or more inductors may be fabricated thereon. One or more capacitors may be fabricated on the first substrate. Also, one or more signal transmission traces of the system impedance are formed on the second substrate of the outside layer. Therefore, the inductance of the inductor(s) is effectively enhanced. Moreover, the area of built-in components is reduced. Furthermore, it has shorter delay time, smaller dielectric loss, and better return loss for the transmission of high speed and high frequency signal.
