  • Patent number: 6961468
Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed for testing the accuracy of digital images generated by a computer graphics program executed on a computer graphics system. A test program is utilized to compare test images with a set of reference images. Adaptive local image quantification verification aims at an image comparison that allows specified color value and spatial shifts. The color value for each pixel of a specified portion of the test image is compared to the average color value of an offset array of pixels in a reference image. A test image region may be unacceptably different from a reference image, if for any pixel of the test image region an offset reference image array is not found that has an array size, absolute color value difference, and spatial shift less than specified maximums.

  • Publication number: 20050140392
Abstract: A circuit (3) for eliminating leakage current in signals transmitted from a first electronic system (1) to a second electronic system (2) includes two circuit units. Each circuit unit comprises a field-effect transistor (Q1, Q2), a first resistor (R1, R3), a second resistor (R2, R4), and a VCC. A source of the field-effect transistor is connected to the first system, for receiving a signal accompanied by leakage current. A gate of the field-effect transistor is connected to the VCC via the first resistor. A drain of the field-effect transistor is connected to the VCC via the second resistor. The drain of the field-effect transistor is also connected to the second system. The field-effect transistor is configured such that leakage current is blocked thereat, and the signal is transmitted to the second system without the leakage current.

  • Publication number: 20050080527
Abstract: A hybrid powertrain has a transmission including a motor and a sensor for sensing rotation of the transmission output member. Motor speed signals are available from the motor controller. Speed signals representative of output speed are calculated from both the speed sensor and the motor speed in conjunction with known speed relationships between the motor and the output. A variety of in-range and dropped signal diagnostics is performed for the sensors and are used in the development of a set of software switches for selecting which of the speed sources is used as the output speed.

  • Publication number: 20050080523
Abstract: This novel silent operating mode for a hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) reduces noise and emissions compared to traditional HEV operating modes. It is a complementary series of software control functions that allows the vehicle to operate with reduced noise and emissions where specifically needed, while phasing-in engine power where allowed. The method utilizes an energy storage system budget associated with a modal quantity of energy allocated for the mode, and is adapted to automatically adjust the operation of the vehicle to accommodate deviations from the budgeted energy amount. The mode also adjusts the vehicle operation in conjunction with changes in the parametric conditions of the ESS.

  • Publication number: 20050069399
Abstract: A novel apparatus and method for transporting semiconductor wafer substrates typically from a CMP apparatus to a scrubber cleaner in a dry state. The method includes providing a SMIF arm at the input port of the scrubber cleaner. After they are subjected to the CMP operation, the substrates are loaded into an enclosed substrate carrier such as a cassette or pod and transported to the SMIF arm of the scrubber cleaner at the input port, where the substrates are internalized and subjected to rinsing, scrubbing and drying steps in the cleaner. Automated transport of the dry substrates from the CMP apparatus to the scrubber cleaner in an enclosed substrate carrier prevents atmospheric particles from contaminating the substrates, prevents unnecessary use of manpower, and reduces or eliminates the possibility of breakage or damage to the substrates.
