Abstract: An electronic device includes a specific-type data storage device, a startup-mode determining unit, and a device startup unit. The specific-type data storage device ensures storing specific type of data. The startup-mode determining unit determines a startup mode of the electronic device. The device startup unit starts up the electronic device in the startup mode determined by the startup-mode determining unit. The startup mode includes an ordinary startup mode and a data-transfer startup mode that transfers the specific type of data to the specific-type-data storage device. The data-transfer startup mode is a mode where among the processes executed in the ordinary startup mode, at least a part of the processes unnecessary for transferring the specific type of data to the specific-type-data storage device is unexecuted.

  • Patent number: 10064684
Abstract: In an operation-mode indicating system, a first light emitting device is located within a peripheral visual field of an operator and is controllably connected to a controller. The peripheral visual field is defined around a center visual field of the operator while the operator is looking at a predetermined site. A body support apparatus is capable of performing an operation to the predetermined site. The controller controls the first light emitting device to emit first light in a first operation mode of the body support apparatus and second light in a second operation mode of the body support apparatus. The first light and the second light are visually distinguishable from each other.

  • Publication number: 20180181388
Abstract: Provided is an electronic apparatus that performs updating of firmware easily and reliably. An EEPROM stores firmware that is divided according to function and that controls standard installed functions that are correlated with model-identification information, and firmware that controls functions of optional apparatuses. A firmware-managing unit manages firmware information that includes the versions of the firmware. A system-control unit that, when there is an update instruction via the panel unit, requests an information-distributing server that distributes the most recent versions of the firmware to perform an update that includes the model-identification information. As a result, even when firmware that controls functions of added optional apparatuses is newly installed, the system-control unit can update the firmware that is stored in the EEPROM to the most recent versions of firmware downloaded from the information-distributing server.
