  • Publication number: 20210312003
Abstract: Devices often receive content items to be saved for later presentation to a user. In some instances, the content of the message is analyzed to retrieve supplemental information from external data sources, such as a map to a location discussed in a message. However, such supplementing often fails to reflect the personal context of the content item to the user, who may not easily recall the associated personal context when the content item is later presented. Instead, for a content item to be saved, a device may evaluate personal data sources to identify the personal context of the content item to the user, and add personal context annotations to a content item record of the saved content item. Later, during a presentation of the content item to the user, the personal context annotations may be included as a reflection of the personal context of the content item to the user.

  • Publication number: 20210314274
Abstract: The disclosed computer-implemented method includes accessing information related to a playback session in which at least a portion of requested multimedia content is streamed over a network to a client electronic device. The method further includes accessing network topology information for the network to identify which route through the network was used to provide the requested multimedia content during the playback session, including indicating which end node was used to provide the multimedia content. Still further, the method includes accessing network steering factors that indicate why the requested multimedia content was steered through the identified network route, determining, based on the network steering factors, which end node would have been more suited to providing the requested multimedia content for the playback session, and then transferring the requested multimedia content to the determined end node for provisioning during subsequent playback sessions.

  • Publication number: 20210297400
Abstract: Secure, authenticated communication is enabled between an initiator (12) (e.g., a user equipment) and a responder (14) (e.g., an authentication server function, AUSF, or a subscription de-concealing function, SIDF). The initiator (12) transmits a message (20) to the responder (14) over a secure communication channel (16). The message (20) may include information indicating a third party (18) whose signing of data (e.g., bound to the secure communication channel (16)) will authenticate the responder (14) to the initiator (12). The responder (14) correspondingly retrieves from the third party (18) data that is signed by the third party (18) and transmits a response (24) to the initiator (12) that includes the retrieved data. The initiator (12) receives this response (24) and determines whether or not the responder (14) is authenticated by determining whether or not the response (24) includes data that is signed by the third party (18).
