Patent number: 11968811Abstract: An industrial automation controller includes a housing with a forced convection chamber. First and second fans are releasably connected to the housing and are adapted to induce airflow through the forced convection chamber. The first and second fans are each connected to the housing by respective first and second latch systems that each include a primary latch and a secondary latch. The secondary latch imposes a time delay during removal and replacement of a fan to facilitate hot swapping of the fan with a replacement fan. A make-last/break-first contact system is provided for each fan such that the fan is shutdown in a controlled manner prior to removal of the fan from the housing. The controller monitors internal temperature and fan speed. The controller initiates, logs, and reports fault conditions based upon the monitored temperature and/or fan speed. The controller is shut down if the monitored temperature exceeds a select temperature level.Type: GrantFiled: February 1, 2021Date of Patent: April 23, 2024Assignee: Rockwell Automation Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Michael S. Patent number: 10780843Abstract: Doors for motor vehicles include door trim panel assemblies having multiple door trim panels held together at attachment points. A door trim panel includes a weakened perimeter formed from a series of apertures in the panel, creating a predetermined breakaway point where the assembly will rupture in the event a load is applied. Methods for tuning the durability of a trim panel assembly include a repeatable cycle in which pins are selected and inserted in a mold at varying positions. During injection molding, the pins form apertures to create a predetermined breakaway point. Changing the size, shape, and location of the pins allows tuning of the durability and properties of the breakaway point. Injection molds have variable pin placement capability to facilitate the method.Type: GrantFiled: January 30, 2018Date of Patent: September 22, 2020Assignee: Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America, Inc.Inventors: David M. Patent number: 10323212Abstract: Polyols are produced by an alkoxylation process in which a vegetable oil containing hydroxyl functional groups is combined with a DMC catalyst to form a mixture, the DMC catalyst is then activated by adding ethylene oxide and/or propylene oxide to the vegetable oil/catalyst mixture, and ethylene oxide and propylene oxide are added to the mixture containing activated DMC catalyst in amounts such that the total of percentage of ethylene oxide in the polyol plus percentage of primary hydroxyl groups in the polyol produced is from 50 to 77% and the percentage of primary hydroxyl groups is at least 30% but less than 50%. These polyols are useful for the production of molded polyurethane foams, particularly, hot-cure molded polyurethane foams.Type: GrantFiled: April 15, 2011Date of Patent: June 18, 2019Assignee: Covestro LLCInventors: Stanley L.
