Abstract: A clutching jig includes a pair of clutching bars, a pair of clutching pieces and a protecting means. Each of the clutching bars includes a top end portion and a bottom end portion. The top end portions are connected to each other and the bottom end portion are separated from each other. Each of the clutching pieces is fixed to the bottom end portion of each of the clutching bars. The clutching pieces are covered by the protecting means and exposed from the protecting means via the protecting means moved relative to the clutching pieces. The protecting blocks will cover the clutching pieces if the clutching jig is unused. The protecting blocks will slide upwardly relative to the clutching bars to urge the clutching pieces to be exposed if the clutching jig is used. Hence, the protecting blocks can protect the clutching pieces to prevent the clutching pieces from damage.

Abstract: A method of starting snapping a static scene is applied to a system, which is electrically connected with an image-capturing device and a display device. The display device has a displaying zone for display a visual field of the image-capturing device. After an instruction of setting a block in the displaying zone is received by the system, a skin color coverage percentage of the block is calculated. According to the skin color coverage percentage, the system determines whether the scene within the visual field is stored or not. By the method and system of the present invention, a self-timer function is activated according to the skin color.

Abstract: An electrical connector adapted to be mounted to an electronic product which has two first locating blocks each defining a first containing mouth between two arms of the first locating block, and two second locating blocks each defining a second containing mouth between two arms of the second locating block. The electrical connector includes an insulating housing and a plurality of terminals. The insulating housing defines a plurality of terminal passages. The insulating housing has two opposite end surfaces which oppositely protrude outward to form two connecting blocks. A front of each of the connecting blocks is positioned in the first containing mouth and a rear of each of the connecting blocks is positioned in the second containing mouth so that the connecting block can be clipped between the first locating block and the corresponding second locating block. The terminals are received in the terminal passages, respectively.

Abstract: An electrical terminal is adapted for being mounted in a connector. The electrical terminal includes an elastic portion of a substantially U-shape which includes a fastening arm and a contact arm spaced from the fastening arm, and a soldering tail connected with a free end of the fastening arm. The contact arm defines a contact area back to the fastening arm for electrically contacting an external mating terminal. The contact area includes a plurality of concave fillisters and contact ribs parallel one another to be alternately arranged and each extended at an incline to an inserting direction of the external mating terminal so that ensures a firm contact between the electrical terminal and the mating terminal.

Abstract: A portable camera device includes a first casing, a second casing and an extendable mechanism. The second casing contains a lens module and has a lower part connected to a first connecting position of the first casing such that the lens module is arranged above the first casing. The extendable mechanism has a rear end with a document holding structure for holding a document and a front end connected to a second connecting position of the first casing via a first pivotal mechanism. The extendable mechanism is selectively folded or unfolded with respect to the first casing when the extendable mechanism is rotated in various directions by adjusting the first pivotal mechanism. A relative spatial correlation between the lens module and the document is adjusted such that the lens module is focused on a selected area of the document for capturing an image of the document.

Abstract: An image pickup device is connected with a computer. A video program is installed in the computer. The image pickup device includes an image pickup module and a monitor program. The image pickup module is controlled by the video program to capture an image. The image pickup module includes a lens and a shielding cover in front of the lens. When the monitor program detects an execution status of the video program, the shielding cover is driven to move to a position where the lens is not shielded by the shielding cover. When the monitor program detects a non-execution status of the video program, the shielding cover is driven to move to a position where the lens is shielded by the shielding cover.

Abstract: A notebook computer that has a document holding function includes an upper cover and a base. The upper cover includes a screen and an image pickup device. The base includes a keyboard and a touchpad. A touchpad chassis is disposed under the touchpad and connected with a bottom surface of the touchpad. A fixing recess is formed in an edge surface of the touchpad chassis for holding the document. A rotatable frame is disposed under the touchpad for overturning the touchpad chassis. As such, a shooting angle is defined between the image pickup device and the document held in the fixing recess.

Abstract: An electrical connector is mounted to a printed circuit board which has two buckling elements mounted thereon. The electrical connector includes an inner insulating housing, an outer insulating housing, a shell surrounding the inner insulating housing, and a plurality of conductive terminals. The outer insulating housing has an accommodating cavity for receiving the shell and the inner insulating housing. The outer insulating housing has a top wall. A top surface of the top wall defines a plurality of receiving passages. The outer insulating housing is mounted by the two buckling elements to make the electrical connector assembled under the printed circuit board with the top wall thereof abutting against the printed circuit board. Touching portions of the conductive terminals electrically contact the printed circuit board and are further pressed into the corresponding receiving passages by the printed circuit board.

Abstract: A portable electronic device for measuring a distance of an object by performing an auto focus function and a distance measuring method are provided. The portable electronic device includes an image pickup module and a distance measuring program. The image pickup module includes a lens, an optical sensing element and a transmission mechanism. The distance measuring program includes a distance look-up table. The distance look-up table is established by correlating a plurality of lens moving step numbers with corresponding object distance values. The auto focus function is performed to capture an image of an object by the image pickup module, thereby obtaining a current lens moving step number required for performing the auto focus function. A current object distance value corresponding to the current lens moving step number is acquired according to the distance look-up table.

Abstract: An audio jack connector has an insulating housing. The insulating housing has a passageway extended from a front surface towards a rear surface thereof for receiving an audio plug connector, a first groove communicated with the passageway and a second groove communicated with the first groove. A first switch terminal received in the first groove has a base plate, an elastic arm extended from one end of the base plate and bent towards the passageway, and a first contacting portion formed at a free end of the elastic arm. A first convexity is formed at a substantially root portion of the elastic arm. A second switch terminal received in the second groove has a second contacting portion. The first contacting portion is driven to move outwards to contact with the second contacting portion when the audio plug connector is inserted in the passageway and resists against the first convexity outwards.

The image pickup device includes an image sensor, a register and a back-end chip. According to the automatic exposure value change amount and the automatic gain value change amount in a focusing environment, the back-end chip determines whether the auto-focus operation is re-executed.

Abstract: A connector includes an insulating housing having a flat base board, a plurality of electric terminals disposed in the insulating housing for electrically contacting the flexible printed circuit board and a shell pivotally and slidably mounted to the insulating housing. The shell has a base plate. A transverse rear edge of the base plate extends downward to form a preventing board perpendicular to the base plate. A bottom portion of an edge of the preventing board is bent frontward to form a hook portion facing the base plate. The shell is turned towards the base board to be covered onto the insulating housing to make the flexible printed circuit board located between the insulating housing and the shell. Then the shell is pushed frontward to make the locking portion hooked to the base board so as to generate a downward pull force to the base plate of the shell.
