    Abstract: An electrical connector includes a main body mounted to the circuit board, a shielding plate assembly fastened to the main body, and a plurality of conductive terminals mounted to the main body and arranged in two rows. The shielding plate assembly is located between the two rows of the conductive terminals. Each of the conductive terminals has a fastening portion, a contact portion and a soldering portion. A front end of the contact portion has a contact surface. Thicknesses of two opposite sides of the front end of the contact portion are smaller than a thickness of a middle of the front end of the contact portion. The contact surfaces of the contact portions of the conductive terminals are exposed to a top surface and a bottom surface of the main body, respectively.

    Abstract: In a gasket which is installed to an installation groove provided in one member of two members facing to each other and comes into close contact with the other member, and has a seal projection coming into contact with a groove side surface of the installation groove, and provided over a whole periphery of the gasket in a side surface of the gasket, a concavity is provided in a part on a circumference of the gasket in the side surface of the gasket, for venting air when the gasket is installed to the installation groove. The concavity is formed into a shape having a predetermined curvature in a longitudinal direction of the gasket. The gasket can prevent the pressing resistance at a time of installing the gasket from being enlarged, and prevent the gasket from floating up from the installation groove due to the spring back of the sealed air.

    Abstract: A thermostat and related methods is provided for controlling an HVAC system. The thermostat includes wiring terminals adapted and configured to make an electrical connection with an HVAC system wires such as common, heating and cooling control and return wires. The making of the connection with a common wire actuates switching open a loop of an electrical circuit used for power harvesting. According to some embodiments, the wiring terminal includes actuation of a moveable part of the terminal so as to accommodate the common wire that in turn actuates the switching open the power harvesting loop. More than one other loop can be switched. According to some embodiments, the wiring terminal can be used to automatically connect and/or disconnect Rc and Rh circuits when one or both Rc and Rh wires are present. According to some embodiments, the wiring terminal can be used for electronically sensing the presence of the HVAC system wire.

A thickness of the soldering portion is thinner than thicknesses of the base plate and the lateral arms.
