  • Publication number: 20190130709
Abstract: A method includes, responsive to identifying a user entering a terminal, identifying a role for the user. The method also includes providing a routing map to a mobile device associated with the user. The routing map identifies an allowable route for the user within the terminal, and the routing map is based on the role. The method further includes granting the user access to one or more restricted areas in the terminal, where the one or more restricted areas are located along the allowable route in the routing map. The method may also include monitoring a location of the user to identify a deviation of the user from the allowable route and, responsive to identifying the deviation, generating an alarm.

  • Patent number: 10250685
Abstract: Techniques for creating layer 2 (L2) extension networks are disclosed. One embodiment permits an L2 extension network to be created by deploying, configuring, and connecting a pair of virtual appliances in the data center and the cloud so that the appliances communicate via secure tunnels and bridge networks in the data center and the cloud. A pair of virtual appliances are first deployed in the data center and the cloud, and secure tunnels are then created between the virtual appliances. Thereafter, a stretched network is created by connecting a network interface in each of the virtual appliances to a respective local network, configuring virtual switch ports to which the virtual appliances are connected as sink ports that receive traffic with non-local destinations, and configuring each of the virtual appliances to bridge the network interface therein that is connected to the local network and tunnels between the pair of virtual appliances.

  • Patent number: 10250556
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to allocating communication resources via information technology infrastructure. A system can provide a communication tag and an analytics tag for integration in a web site. The system can receive a request to allocate a phone number generated based on an interaction between the communication tag and the analytics tag. The request can include the communication endpoint identifier, the site identifier for the web site, and a bucket identifier formed from bucketing criteria corresponding to a network activity session of the computing device. The system can determine a virtual phone number to assign to a combination of the values of the fields provided in the request, and create a link between the assigned virtual number and the combination. The system can provide the assigned virtual phone number to the computing device that initiated the request.

  • Patent number: 10198281
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for deploying and maintaining appliances in a hybrid cloud computing system which includes an on-premise data center and a public cloud computing system configured to provide a common platform for managing and executing virtual workloads. Appliances to be deployed may include those required (or useful) for hybrid operations, including a cloud gateway appliance, a wide area network (WAN) optimizer, a layer 2 (L2) concentrator, and a mobility agent that handles virtual machine (VM) migration traffic. Such appliances are deployed first on the on-premise data center, and remote jobs are then sent to the public cloud to deploy the same appliances thereon. After deployment, the appliances deployed on the on-premise data center and corresponding appliances on the public cloud share configuration states and may further be wired together to communicate via secure encrypted tunnels.

  • Publication number: 20190034298
Abstract: One or more embodiments provide techniques for migrating a virtual machine (VM) from a private data center to a cloud data center. A hybridity manager receives a request at the cloud data center to replicate a VM from the private data center on the cloud data center. The hybridity manager identifies a source network associated with the VM. The hybridity manager identifies whether there exists a stretched network associated with the source network of the VM. Responsive to determining that there is a stretched network associated with the source network of the VM, the hybridity manager replicates the VM on the stretched network without reconfiguring internet-protocol (IP) settings of the VM.

  • Publication number: 20190031589
Abstract: The invention relates to improved method of synthesis for Treprostinil comprising condensation reaction of the carbonyl compound having allyl, alkyl, crotyl or MEM-protected phenolic hydroxyl group, compound (4) with a hydroxyl-protected alkynol (5) to give the condensation product, compound (6). Subjecting compound (6) to oxidation, reduction, hydroxyl protection and carbonylation, cyclization reactions gave the tricyclic derivative (10). Further reactions comprising reduction, hydrogenation and deprotection of the phenolic and side-chain hydroxyl groups, wherein the sequence and choice of reagents was governed by protecting groups, gave the triol intermediate, compound (14). Cyanoalkylation at phenolic hydroxyl functionality and further hydrolysis yielded the prostacyclin compound, Treprostinil (1) and its pharmaceutically acceptable salts, having desired purity.

  • Publication number: 20190034297
Abstract: One or more embodiments provide techniques for migrating virtual machines (VMs) from a private data center to a cloud data center. A hybrid cloud manager determines a scope of migration from the private data center to the cloud data center. The hybrid cloud manager groups each VM included in the scope of migration into one or more clusters. The hybrid cloud manager defines one or more migration phases. Each migration phase comprises a subset of the one or more clusters. The hybrid cloud manager generates a migration schedule based on at least the one or more migration phases. The hybrid cloud manager migrates the VMs from the private data center to the cloud data center in accordance with the migration schedule.

  • Patent number: 10110493
Abstract: Emulating a NIC for packet transmission on hardware RSS unaware NICs in a multi-core system enables each of a plurality of slave packet engines to emulate a NIC for packet transmissions locally even though the actual NIC transmissions from the queue are handled by a master packet engine only. Each slave packet engine treats a local software-implemented transmission queue as a device queue and uses the local queue to keep track of status of data from the packet engine in the device output queue, handled by the master packet engine on behalf of the slave packet engines. As the master packet engine transmits the data from the queue and the status of the queue changes, the master packet engine and the slave packet engines may use pointers to keep track of which data packets are transmitted, which data packets are drained and which data packets are still in the queue.
