  • Publication number: 20220198632
Abstract: A method includes receiving image data representative of an appearance of an equipment part prior to an inspection process and evaluating the image data with a machine learning model that defines baseline image data to determine whether the image data indicates the equipment part has been prepared for the inspection. The inspection process may be prevented when the evaluation indicates that the equipment part has not been prepared. A system includes a controller that receives image data representative of an appearance of an equipment part obtained prior to an inspection process. The controller uses a machine learning model to evaluate the image data with respect to baseline image data to determine whether the equipment part has been prepared for the inspection process. The controller prevents the performance of the inspection process based on the evaluation indicating that the equipment part has not been prepared for the inspection process.

  • Patent number: 11231848
Abstract: Example implementations relate to a computing system with a memory resource, a processing resource, and associated with a screen reader providing an audio presentation based on assigning non-positive index values to input sources. In some examples, a first index value is assigned to a first input source of a first panel of a graphical user interface (GUI). Responsive to an action event being received corresponding to the first input source, a second panel is generated. Responsive to the second panel being generated, a second input source of the second panel is generated. A second index value is assigned to the first input source when the second panel is generated, the first index value being not equal to the second index value, and the second index value being a non-positive value.

  • Publication number: 20210192658
Abstract: Within a vehicle, and at a border crossing, a verification device enables unsupervised or automatic biometric authentication of subjects (i.e., persons or travelers) moving between secured areas (e.g., across a border or into a secured facility, for example). Verification device is configured to store reference biometric information for one or more vehicle occupants. Upon approaching a verification station at a border crossing, user(s) supply one or more biometrics (e.g., fingerprint, facial recognition, voice recognition) for validation against the reference biometric information. Upon validation, verification device transmits a validated signal to the verification station to enable the vehicle to pass the border crossing without stopping at the immigration booth. For example, the receipt of a validated signal may trigger the opening of a gate at a border crossing.
