  • Patent number: 10662384
Abstract: The present invention is generally related to the analysis of chemical compositions of hydrocarbons and hydrocarbon blends. This method applies specifically to the problem of analyzing extremely complex hydrocarbon-containing mixtures when the number and diversity of molecules makes it impossible to realistically identify and quantify them individually in a reasonable timeframe and cost. The advantage to this method over prior art is the ability to separate and identify chemical constituents and solvent fractions based on their solvent-solubility characteristics, their high performance liquid chromatographic (HPLC) adsorption and desorption behaviors, and their interactions with stationary phases; and subsequently identify and quantify them at least partially using various combinations of non-destructive HPLC, destructive HPLC, and stand-alone detectors presently not routinely used for HPLC but reconfigured to obtain spectra on the fly.

  • Publication number: 20200151319
Abstract: Resource access credential security is improved by providing authentication tools and techniques which do not rely on embedment of credentials in the source code or configuration files of programs that use the credentials to access secured resources. A program under development in a development tool determines through the operation of authentication code that it is under development and that a developer identity is to be used to obtain access credentials, instead of using an identity of the program itself as occurs when the program is not under development. The development tool may be stand-alone, or may be in an integrated development environment, and may be extensible or not. The program may be an application, a web service, or other software, and may be deployed to a cloud or other networked environment. Authentication may be based on a selected developer identity or selected account or other subscriber data.

  • Publication number: 20200132748
Abstract: Systems are provided to determine a location of an electrical fault in an electrical system of a vehicle. A test apparatus can include a control unit and a plurality of scan circuits. The control unit is configured to electrically couple the plurality of scan circuits to the electrical system and trigger the plurality of scan circuits to pass electrical signals to the electrical system. Each scan circuit is configured to detect a presence of an electrical fault in the electrical system based on an electrical signal passed. Each scan circuit provides information indicative of a location of the electrical fault in the electrical system, when detected, to the control unit.

  • Publication number: 20200089517
Abstract: Embodiments relate to hypervisors that provide hardware isolated virtualization environments (HIVEs) such as containers and virtual machines (VMs). A first HIVE includes a first virtual network interface card (NIC) and a second HIVE includes a second virtual NIC. Both virtual NICs are backed by the same physical NIC. The physical NIC has an Internet Protocol (IP) address. The virtual NICs are assigned the same IP address as the physical NIC. A networking stack of the hypervisor receives inbound packets addressed to the IP address. The networking stack steers the inbound packets to the virtual NICs according to tuples of the inbound packets. Packets emitted by the virtual NICs comprise the IP address, pass through the network stack, and are transmitted by the physical NIC with headers comprising the IP address.

  • Patent number: 10524332
Abstract: The present disclosure provides an intelligent lighting control system. The lighting control system includes a base module including a base housing forming a well and including a first electrical connector positioned in the well. A depressible switch is housed in the well that includes a spring biasing the depressible switch into an extended position that opens an electrical circuit between the power terminal and the first electrical connector. The lighting control system also includes a light switch module configured for nesting, at least in part, in the well of the base module. The light switch module includes a module housing configured to press the depressible switch into a retracted position upon nesting in the well and thereby close the electrical circuit between the power terminal and the first electrical connector and release the depressible switch into the extended position when unnested from the well of the base module.

  • Publication number: 20190334862
Abstract: Embodiments described herein relate to providing hardware isolated virtualized environments (HIVEs) with network information. The HIVEs are managed by a hypervisor that virtualizes access to one or more physical network interface cards (NICs) of the host. Each HIVE has a virtual NIC backed by the physical NIC. Network traffic of the HIVEs flows through the physical NIC to a physical network. Traits of the physical NIC may be projected to the virtual NICs. For example, a media-type property of the virtual NICs (exposed to guest software in the HIVEs) may be set to mirror the media type of the physical NIC. A private subnet connects the virtual NICs with the physical NICs, possibly through a network address translation (NAT) component and virtual NICs of the host.
