  • Patent number: 11289086
Abstract: A system and method for selecting a target device out of a larger group of candidate devices for rendering a response from a virtual assistant to an end-user is disclosed. The system determines that a same trigger phrase included in an utterance has been received by multiple devices that are in proximity to one another at around the same time. These candidate devices can collect attention data, such as user gaze toward a device, to select the device that was most likely the intended recipient of the utterance. The system is configured to control the virtual assistant to render a response solely via the selected device.

  • Patent number: 11281763
Abstract: Resource access credential security is improved by providing authentication tools and techniques which do not rely on embedment of credentials in the source code or configuration files of programs that use the credentials to access secured resources. A program under development in a development tool determines through the operation of authentication code that it is under development and that a developer identity is to be used to obtain access credentials, instead of using an identity of the program itself as occurs when the program is not under development. The development tool may be stand-alone, or may be in an integrated development environment, and may be extensible or not. The program may be an application, a web service, or other software, and may be deployed to a cloud or other networked environment. Authentication may be based on a selected developer identity or selected account or other subscriber data.

Abstract: In one aspect the present disclosure relates to a battery cabinet apparatus having flame and noxious gas management capability. The apparatus has a plurality of parallel arranged vertical frame elements, a plurality of spaced apart shelves disposed within an interior area of the apparatus, and a plurality of louver panels. The louver panels are arranged one above another and coupled to a first pair of the vertical frame elements. Each of the louver panels has an upper portion and a lower portion, where the lower portion, angles inwardly, relative to the interior area of the apparatus. In this manner the upper portion of a first one of the louver panels cooperates with the lower portion of a second one of said louver panels disposed immediately above the first one of the louver panels to form an opening for exhausting at least one of flames or noxious gasses that develop within the apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20210389360
Abstract: A system includes a location unit to direct one or more distributions of electrical signals through different conductive pathways of conductive pathways to plural components of an electric system. The location unit receives a modified version of one or more of the electric signals that is modified by passage through one or more of the conductive pathways. The location unit determines a location of an electric fault based on a position where the modified version is measured in its passage through one or more conductive pathways. A coupling unit couples the location unit to the electrical system. A method includes distributing plural electrical signals through different conductive pathways to several components of an electric system, receiving a modified version of one or more electric signals, and determining a location of an electric fault in the electric system based on a position where the modified version is measured in its passage.
