  • Publication number: 20230027016
Abstract: A transitive closure data structure is constructed for a pair of features represented in a vector space corresponding to an input dataset. The data structure includes a set of entries corresponding to a set of all possible paths between a first feature in the pair and a second feature in the pair in a graph of the vector space. The data structure is reduced by removing a subset of the set of entries such that only a single entry corresponding to a single path remains in the transitive closure data structure. A feature cross is formed from a cluster of features remaining in a reduced ontology graph resulting from the reducing the transitive closure data structure. A layer is configured in a neural network to represent the feature cross, which causes the neural network to produce a prediction that is within a defined accuracy relative to the dataset.

  • Publication number: 20230006412
Abstract: Orbital debt is removal (ODR) systems under the present approach may use a ground- or surface-based FEL and mirror system with sufficient power and both spatial and temporal resolution to both locate Category II OD (1 cm to 10 cm diameter) in low Earth orbit (LEO, 160 to 2000 km altitude) and remove these objects from orbit. Locating the Category II OD is performed by having, the light beam from an FEL and its beam director scan a volume of space of interest and then observing the light reflected from the OD. Removing the OD may include heating the OD to a sufficiently high temperature to evaporate the OD, changing the orbit of the OD such as to lower the perigee, or both. Megawatt-class MOPA FELs for, inter alia, removing OD, are described.

  • Publication number: 20220411387
Abstract: This invention relates to heterocyclic red azo colorants for seed treatment applications. The red azo colorants contain a heterocycle that includes one nitrogen atom and one sulfur atom and are free from electron-withdrawing groups on the heterocycle. Seeds for use in horticultural/agriculture applications that are coated with the heterocyclic azo colorants provide anti-counterfeiting properties to the coated seeds. A color change phenomenon is observed when the coated seeds are exposed to an acidic material, such as vinegar, and provides evidence of the authenticity of the coated seeds. The invention also relates to agricultural formulations containing the heterocyclic red azo colorants that can be used as an anti-counterfeit agents.
