  • Patent number: 10099532
Abstract: An environmental control system for a battery in a vehicle includes an air intake for receiving ambient air from outside the vehicle. A duct system provides communication between the air intake and the battery. The duct system includes a movable door which can facilitate or inhibit movement of air between the air intake and the battery. An air outlet facilitates air flow from the duct system to the ambient environment outside the vehicle. A fan cooperates with the duct system for moving the air through a heat exchanger in the duct system and across the battery. A control system controls operation of the fan and the movable door, and is configured to determine whether the battery environment requires fresh air or recirculated air.

  • Publication number: 20180206125
Abstract: Reallocation of a capacity boost cell between first and second operators in a cellular radio communications network is carried out by detecting a drop in load for the first operator, in the area of coverage of the capacity boost cell, below a first threshold, and reallocating automatically the capacity boost cell to the second operator in response to the detected drop in load, if the first operator has authorised a reallocation. The capacity boost cell can be reallocated automatically back to the first operator in response to detecting a subsequent increase in load above a second threshold for the first operator. This can improve utilisation of the capacity boost cell during low load periods while still having it available for the first operator for high load periods, and can provide access to additional capacity for the second operator without need for costly additional infrastructure.

  • Patent number: 9968801
Abstract: Method and systems are disclosed for radiating a moving target inside a heart. The method includes acquiring sequential volumetric representations of an area of the heart and defining a target tissue region and/or a radiation sensitive structure region in 3D for a first of the representations. The target tissue region and/or radiation sensitive structure region are identified for another of the representations by an analysis of the area of the heart from the first representation and the other representation. Radiation beams to the target tissue region are fired in response to the identified target tissue region and/or radiation sensitive structure region from the other representation.

  • Patent number: 9648527
Abstract: A cell for communication with a user equipment within a mobile communications network in which the network comprises a plurality of cells, is selected by identifying (201) cells having the required signal strength for communication with a user equipment; grouping (203) the identified cells according to maximum transmit power level a user equipment may use when communicating within that cell, p-Max, each group being allocated a priority level such that the group having the lowest p-Max is allocated the highest priority level through to the group having the highest p-Max allocated the lowest priority level; and selecting (205) one of the grouped cells for communication with the user equipment from the group of cells having the highest priority level.

  • Patent number: 9642178
Abstract: A cellular mobile network allows a user equipment to connect to the network, the user equipment having a subscription for using the network to send data intermittently and to disconnect temporarily from the network automatically between its data transmissions. Parameters relating to the automated temporary disconnections are communicated, and data is sent from the user equipment while the user equipment is connected. The automated temporary disconnections and reconnections are detected by the network. By allowing user equipments which automatically disconnect temporarily between their data transmissions, the network need no longer provision for all such user equipments to be connected to the network simultaneously. Thus more such user equipments can be accepted as subscribers. By communicating with the user equipment about the temporary automated disconnections from the network, the network can have some control of, or at least be made aware of, the temporary automated disconnections.

  • Publication number: 20170065831
Abstract: A system that generates a three-dimensional model of a tissue surface, for example the inner surface of the heart from two-dimensional image data slices. On this surface, one or more pattern lines are drawn, e.g., by a physician using a user interface, to designate desired lesion(s) on the surface. From the pattern lines, a three-dimensional volume for a lesion can be determined using known constraints. Advantageously, the series of boundaries generated by the three-dimensional volume may be projected back onto the individual CT scans, which then may be transferred to a standard radiosurgical planning tool. A dose cloud may also be projected on the model to aid in evaluating a plan.

  • Patent number: 9338306
Abstract: An M2M service provider (41) is a provider of a plurality of services (31-33). A method of processing charging information for machine-to-machine (M2M) communication between at least one M2M device (10) and an M2M service provider (41) comprises creating (102) a charging record (90) for recording usage information of the plurality of services (31-33) of the service provider (41). For each of the plurality of services (31-33) of the service provider (41), per-service usage information (94) is accumulated (105). Usage of the service by the at least one M2M device (10) is aggregated. The per-service usage information (94) is stored (108) in the charging record (90). The charging record can include at least one volume-based limit or time-based limit for publishing the charging record.

  • Patent number: 9320916
Abstract: Radiosurgical treatments of tissues of the heart mitigate arrhythmias and treat other tumerous and non-tumerous disease using an implanted fiducial positioned in or near the heart using cardiac catheterization techniques. The fiducials may be implanted after diagnostic and planning images of the target tissues have been acquired. Fiducial implantation may take place the day of a scheduled radiosurgical treatment. Techniques to accommodate post-planning fiducial implantation may include registration of the implanted fiducial location with the treatment plan, and active fiducials may limit collateral imaging radiation exposure while enhancing tracking accuracy.
