  • Publication number: 20150290472
Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods for planning radiosurgical treatments for neuromodulating a portion of the renovascular system may be used to plan radiosurgical neuromodulation treatments for conditions or disease associated with elevated central sympathetic drive. The renal nerves may be located and targeted at the level of the ganglion and/or at postganglionic positions, as well as preganglionic positions. Target regions include the renal plexus, celiac ganglion, the superior mesenteric ganglion, the aorticorenal ganglion and the aortic plexus. Planning of radiosurgical treatments will optionally employ a graphical representation of a blood/tissue interface adjacent these targets.

  • Publication number: 20150105044
Abstract: An M2M service provider (41) is a provider of a plurality of services (31-33). A method of processing charging information for machine-to-machine (M2M) communication between at least one M2M device (10) and an M2M service provider (41) comprises creating (102) a charging record (90) for recording usage information of the plurality of services (31-33) of the service provider (41). For each of the plurality of services (31-33) of the service provider (41), per-service usage information (94) is accumulated (105). Usage of the service by the at least one M2M device (10) is aggregated. The per-service usage information (94) is stored (108) in the charging record (90). The charging record can include at least one volume-based limit or time-based limit for publishing the charging record.

  • Publication number: 20150087322
Abstract: A cellular mobile network allows a user equipment to connect to the network, the user equipment having a subscription for using the network to send data intermittently and to disconnect temporarily from the network automatically between its data transmissions. Parameters relating to the automated temporary disconnections are communicated, and data is sent from the user equipment while the user equipment is connected. The automated temporary disconnections and reconnections are detected by the network. By allowing user equipments which automatically disconnect temporarily between their data transmissions, the network need no longer provision for all such user equipments to be connected to the network simultaneously. Thus more such user equipments can be accepted as subscribers. By communicating with the user equipment about the temporary automated disconnections from the network, the network can have some control of, or at least be made aware of, the temporary automated disconnections.

  • Patent number: 8805481
Abstract: The invention provides a non-invasive system and method for treatment of the heart. In a first aspect, a method for treatment of an anatomical site related to arrhythmogenesis of a heart of a patient comprises creating a target shape encompassing the anatomical site, directing particle beam radiation or x-ray radiation from outside the patient toward the target shape wherein one or more doses of radiation ablates the target shape and disregarding at least one orientation of cardiac motion while creating the target shape or directing the particle beam or both.

  • Patent number: 8784290
Abstract: Radiosurgical treatments of tissues of the heart mitigate arrhythmias and treat other tumerous and non-tumerous disease using an implanted fiducial positioned in or near the heart using cardiac catheterization techniques. The fiducials may be implanted after diagnostic and planning images of the target tissues have been acquired. Fiducial implantation may take place the day of a scheduled radiosurgical treatment. Techniques to accommodate post-planning fiducial implantation may include registration of the implanted fiducial location with the treatment plan, and active fiducials may limit collateral imaging radiation exposure while enhancing tracking accuracy.

  • Patent number: 8736230
Abstract: A system and method for rebalancing a battery in a vehicle during vehicle operation, the battery including a plurality of modules, is provided. The method may include determining when an automatic rebalance mode start condition is satisfied, modifying a target state of charge for the battery at least in part in response to the start condition being satisfied such that the target state of charge is raised from a standard operating value to a rebalance value, operating the vehicle with the target state of charge at the rebalance value, determining when an automatic rebalance mode end condition or an interrupt condition is satisfied, and modifying the target state of charge in response to the automatic rebalance mode end condition or the interrupt condition being satisfied such that the target state of charge is lowered from the rebalance value to the standard operating value.

  • Publication number: 20130328341
Abstract: A cargo management system includes a vehicle floor pan, a passenger seat having a seat back and a seat cushion, and an adjustable load floor. The passenger seat is disposed on the vehicle floor pan. The passenger seat has a seatback that is pivotally mounted to the seat cushion. The adjustable load floor is disposed above the vehicle floor pan. The adjustable load floor has a rear end and a front end wherein the front end is operatively configured to engage with the base of the seatback. The adjustable load floor being is operatively configured to move between a first position and a second position as the seat back moves between the upright position and the collapsed position.

  • Patent number: 8452326
Abstract: The present invention relates to an arrangement supporting dual mode operation or communication with a core network node using a first and a second mode via a first and a second interface respectively. It comprises parameter handling means adapted to collect or receive first parameters comprising configurable traffic load related parameters and second parameters comprising current network traffic dependent parameters. It also comprises selecting means comprising calculating means adapted to use the configurable parameters and the current parameters of the parameter handling means to select the first or the second mode as operation mode for a connection of a mobile station to the core network.

  • Publication number: 20130102896
Abstract: Method and systems are disclosed for radiating a moving target inside a heart. The method includes acquiring sequential volumetric representations of an area of the heart and defining a target tissue region and/or a radiation sensitive structure region in 3D for a first of the representations. The target tissue region and/or radiation sensitive structure region are identified for another of the representations by an analysis of the area of the heart from the first representation and the other representation. Radiation beams to the target tissue region are fired in response to the identified target tissue region and/or radiation sensitive structure region from the other representation.
