  • Patent number: 11482141
Abstract: A HUD calibration system is provided and includes a HUD, a reticle reference object, a target, and a control module. The HUD displays a virtual image including a first center feature and first features. The reticle reference object is physically fixed to a windshield of a vehicle. The target is physically disposed forward of the vehicle and includes a second center feature and second features. The control module: controls the HUD to display the virtual image superimposed over the target; perform a boresighting process to align a center of a cross-hair of the reticle reference object with the first and second center features and generate first reference values; perform an undistortion calibration process to rotate and undistort the virtual image relative to the target and generate second reference values; and adjust operation of the HUD based on the first and second reference values.

  • Publication number: 20220313947
Abstract: A pessary system for providing pelvic floor support for USL and other ligaments. The pessary has an elongated probe with independently inflatable balloons each located substantially the same distance from the insertion end of the probe and which inflate into separate radial sectors. The probe can be inserted into a vaginal cavity and the balloons inflated provide mechanical support to the USLs. Independent inflation of each balloon allows the mechanical USL support provided to be varied on left and right sides to compensate for differences in the degree of degradation and positioning of the USL ligaments on either side.

  • Publication number: 20220308744
Abstract: Example techniques relate to lock screen media controls. While a mobile device is in the locked state, an example implementation involves selecting one or more playback devices from among the multiple playback devices connected to a local area network, displaying a lock screen control for the one or more selected playback devices, the lock screen control including: a playback status control displaying metadata of a particular audio track playing back on the one or more selected playback devices and one or more transport controls to control playback by the one or more selected playback devices. The example implementation also involves receiving input data representing a command to adjust playback volume on one or more selected playback devices and sending, via a wireless network interface of the mobile device, instructions to cause the one or more selected playback devices to adjust playback volume according to the command.

  • Patent number: 11455234
Abstract: A robotic device management service obtains, from a customer, a first set of parameters of a robotic device and a second set of parameters for a simulation environment for testing a robotic device application installable on the robotic device. The set of parameters are used to indicate a storage location of the application and a selection of a simulation environment for testing the application. In response to the request, the robotic device management service selects a set of resources on which to execute the simulation in the simulation environment. The robotic device management service obtains the robotic device application from the storage location and loads the application on to the set of resources to execute the simulation.

  • Patent number: 11446457
Abstract: An oxygen concentrator (100) apparatus and a method thereof implement operations control to efficiently release oxygen enriched gas to reduce potential waste. The control methodology may include generating a profile such as a minimum inhalation flow profile of the user. The profile may be based on a size parameter of the user. The method may determine one or more control parameters characterizing a bolus of oxygen enriched gas based on the generated flow profile. The control methodology may then generate a bolus release control signal, such as for a supply valve, according to the determined one or more control parameters. The oxygen concentrator may then, with the control signal, release and deliver a bolus of oxygen enriched gas for a user such as for reducing waste.

  • Publication number: 20220275062
Abstract: A p38 MAPK inhibitor for use in the treatment or prevention of severe influenza in a human patient. In some embodiments, the severe influenza may be characterised by hypercytokinemia involving elevated levels of one or more pro-inflammatory cytokines. The p38 MAP kinase inhibitor may act to inhibit the release of such pro-inflammatory mediators from endothelial cells. In some embodiments, the p38 MAP kinase inhibitor may inhibit the release of IP 10 from endothelial cells, preferably in a dose-dependent manner.

  • Patent number: 11428487
Abstract: A firearm for firing cased telescoped (CT) ammunition cartridges that includes a split chamber configured to fully support a CT cartridge when it is fired, and that includes i) a dynamic rear chamber portion defining a pocket in a face of a bolt, and ii) a static front chamber portion that is integral to the barrel and separate from the bolt. A cartridge extraction mechanism engages the CT cartridge prior to the CT cartridge being fired, and holds the CT cartridge in the pocket in the bolt face as the bolt moves rearward to pull the CT cartridge out of the static front chamber portion and into an ejection position. An ejector is operable to eject the CT cartridge from the pocket in the face of the bolt when the CT cartridge reaches the ejection position.

  • Patent number: 11415279
Abstract: A lighting device includes a light permeable body which has an aperture through which light enters the body. A light source is moveable relative to the body to enable the lighting device to adopt selectively one of a first configuration and a second configuration. In the first configuration, the light source is positioned over the aperture so that light emitted by the light source passes through the body before illuminating the room. In the second configuration, the light source is spaced laterally from the aperture so that the room is illuminated directly by light emitted from the light source.

  • Publication number: 20220245905
Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems and methods for colocating virtual content. A method may include receiving first persistent coordinate data, second persistent coordinate data, and relational data. A third persistent coordinate data and a fourth persistent coordinate data may be determined based on input received via one or more sensors of a head-wearable device. It can be determined whether the first persistent coordinate data corresponds to the third persistent coordinate data. In accordance with a determination that the first persistent coordinate data corresponds to the third persistent coordinate data, it can be determined whether the second persistent coordinate data corresponds to the fourth persistent coordinate data. In accordance with a determination that the second persistent coordinate data corresponds to the fourth persistent coordinate data, a virtual object can be displayed using the relational data and the second persistent coordinate data via a display of the head-wearable device.

  • Publication number: 20220224713
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed to implement a self-learning machine assessment system that automatically tunes what data is collected from remote machines. In embodiments, agents are deployed on remote machines to collect machine characteristics data according to collection rule sets, and to report the collected data to the machine assessment system. The machine assessment system assesses the remote machines using the collected data, and automatically determines, based on what data was or was not needed during the assessment, whether an agent's collection rule set should be changed. Any determined changes are sent back to the agent, causing the agent to update its scope of collection. The auto-tuning process may continue over multiple iterations until the agent's collection scope is stabilized. In embodiments, the assessment process may be used to analyze the remote machine to determine security vulnerabilities, and recommend possible actions to take to mitigate the vulnerabilities.

  • Publication number: 20220212490
Abstract: It is the object of the present invention to provide a new polymer coating for low temperature plastics and plastic foams that allows for the application of disperse dyes in a sublimation process that preserves the original properties of the underlying plastic substrate. The composition includes an optically clear synthetic organic polymer base holding two layers, a first reflective layer supported by the low temperature plastic substrate that includes IR radiation reflecting additives, and a second layer supported by the first layer having light scattering particulate additives. The disperse dyes utilized in the invention may include additives to absorb IR radiation provided by an external IR source positioned above the disperse dyes causing the dyes to sublimate and diffuse quickly into the light scattering layer. The combination of these layers allows for diffusion of the disperse dye ink into the light scattering layer while protecting the low temperature plastic below.
