  • Patent number: 11305570
Abstract: It is the object of the present invention to provide a new polymer coating for low temperature plastics and plastic foams that allows for the application of disperse dyes in a sublimation process that preserves the original properties of the underlying plastic substrate. The composition includes an optically clear synthetic organic polymer base holding two layers, a first reflective layer supported by the low temperature plastic substrate that includes IR radiation reflecting additives, and a second layer supported by the first layer having light scattering particulate additives. The disperse dyes utilized in the invention may include additives to absorb IR radiation provided by an external IR source positioned above the disperse dyes causing the dyes to sublimate and diffuse quickly into the light scattering layer. The combination of these layers allows for diffusion of the disperse dye ink into the light scattering layer while protecting the low temperature plastic below.

  • Publication number: 20220071486
Abstract: System and Method pertaining to the modification and integration of an existing consumer digital camera, for example, with an optical imaging module to enable point and shoot fundus photography of the eye. The auto-focus macro capability of existing consumer cameras is adapted to photograph the retina over an extended diopter range, eliminating the need for manual diopter focus adjustment. The thru-the-lens (TTL) auto-exposure flash capability of existing consumer cameras is adapted to photograph the retina with automatic flash exposure eliminating the need for manual flash adjustment. The consumer camera imaging sensor and flash are modified to allow the camera sensor to perform both non-mydriatic focusing of the retina using infrared illumination and standard color flash photography of the retina without the need for additional imaging sensors or mechanical filters.

  • Patent number: 11228187
Abstract: A Charging Caddy (Caddy) comprises of a charging base and various interchangeable multi-use apparatus (IMA) which individually attach to a Caddy base. The Caddy's various IMAs complement the setting and décor of the Caddy's location. The base is powered by a wall outlet and a rechargeable battery providing the option of simultaneously charging multiple tablets and communication devices (TCD). The rechargeable battery further extends the versatility of the Caddy when a power outlet is not readily available. TCDs such as iPod, iPad, various tablets, laptops, cell phones, or other peripheral devices can be charged using one or more: dedicated or non-dedicated USB ports, cigarette lighter ports, 120 v plugs, or TCD cradles. The non-dedicated USB ports allow for the devices to communicate using networking protocols. • Patent number: 11226807
Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods, systems, and processes to perform self-dependent upgrades of Java Runtime Environments (JREs). A request to update a plugin to a new version with a new configuration that includes a location to download a new upgrader-executable is received from a platform computing device at an endpoint computing device. The plugin is uploaded to the new version. The new upgrader-executable that includes an executable with an executable table executed by the plugin is downloaded from the location. The executable is used to halt execution of a JRE application (e.g., a Collector) and download JRE files required for the upgrade. The JRE application (e.g., the Collector) is then re-started with the new configuration, which can be rolled back if the upgrade is unsuccessful.

  • Patent number: 11199638
Abstract: The invention provides a method of estimating an input count rate of a radiation pulse detector from a detector signal where some individual signal pulses making up the detector signal are closely spaced in time less than a minimum reliable detection gap. In one aspect, the individual signal pulses are detected using a detection algorithm and a plurality of interval start times are defined each interposed with at least one of the detected individual signal pulse arrival times, each interval start time being later by at least the minimum reliable detection gap than a corresponding most recent detected individual signal pulse arrival time. A corresponding plurality of individual signal pulse arrival intervals are calculated between each of the interval start times and a corresponding next detected individual signal pulse arrival time.
