Abstract: A method and system for file transfer over a messaging infrastructure are provided. The method includes dividing a file into multiple portions. The method includes generating for a current portion of a file, except for the first portion in a file, a first hash summarizing the state of the file up to, but not including, the current portion and a second hash summarizing the state of the file up to and including the current portion. The method includes sending the first and second hashes with the file portion. The second hash may be used at a target for comparing to a first hash of a subsequent file portion, for example, by recreating the second hash from the current state of the received file on the target.

  • Patent number: 7506312
Abstract: In software development, risks can be quantified and defined by certain attributes. For instance, a risky area will have a large number of defects/changes for that area, a large number of high severity defects for that area, or a large number of coders/authors for that same area. All these metrics are already captured in Unified Change Management tools, version control tools and bug tracking tools. By taking the appropriate data and associating them with certain triggers and thresholds, an embodiment of the invention automatically identifies which test cases to run for regression. Through historical and previous test data and test runs, an embodiment of the invention forecasts how long it will take to run these regression suites.

  • Publication number: 20090070493
Abstract: A method of generating a configuration of an integrated circuit 2 having an interconnect component 14 connecting a plurality of devices 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 uses selecting a device to be connected to the interconnect component, reading interface parameters of that device from a file or model (e.g. IP-XACT), selecting parameters of an interface “if” of the interconnect component to match the read parameters, detecting and making any settings in the configuration of the interconnect component 14 itself required to match the selected parameters of the interface and then detecting any changes required in the configuration of any devices previously connected to the interconnect component required to match the configuration of the interconnect component as it now stands. In this way, configuration of the interconnect component can be at least semi-automated with a reduction in the possibility of errors and an increase in the speed of such configuration.

  • Publication number: 20090021917
Abstract: Adapter module securable to a socket frame, integrated circuit module assembly and method for securing a heat dissipation device in direct thermal communication with an integrated circuit module. The socket frame is positioned over a substrate having a land grid array and the frame is secured to the substrate. The frame defines a well for selectively receiving the integrated circuit module in electronic communication with the land grid array. The adapter module is secured to the frame and extends outside the perimeter of the frame. The adapter provides a feature outside the perimeter of the frame for fastening the heat dissipation device. Furthermore, the adapter body is secured to the frame without adding holes through the substrate, such as by extending under the frame to be secured between the frame and substrate, or by extending over the frame to be secured between the frame and fasteners.
