Patent number: 11193474Abstract: Air powered electrical generator (APEG) motive parts are mounted on an axle carrying bilateral air turbines and two intermediate rotor subassemblies. Circular rotor blade plates have scalene triangularly shaped cavities with long leading edge sides receiving compressed air flow, short trailing edge sides and an open peripheral air portal. Adjacently mounted blades are offset such that one air portal then another air portal is presented to compressed air flow from nozzles during rotation. Each turbine shroud has a manifold feeding compressed air to the nozzle, as a venturi, due alternating presented air portals. Each rotor carries permanent magnets on its radially outboard segments. Bilateral stationary stators are transversely fixedly mounted outboard of the rotating rotor subassemblies. Electrical outputs carry power from the stators when the rotor subassemblies rotate.Type: GrantFiled: December 17, 2020Date of Patent: December 7, 2021Assignee: Bizhub Group LLCInventor: Peter Mark Evans

Publication number: 20210368242Abstract: Systems and methods are described for searching media files using a set-top box (STB), a television receiver, digital video recorder (DVR), placeshifting device or other media device, or any type of network host that communicates with a media device of any sort. Search criteria is received from a user, and the search criteria is identified in listings of media programming available from one or more sources. In some implementations, a combined search result can be provided that identifies instances of the search criteria found in program guide listings, files stored on a digital video recorder (DVR), available on-demand content, or any other sources as desired. Some implementations may prioritize search results using information about files stored on a DVR, user preferences, or any other information as desired.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 6, 2021Publication date: November 25, 2021Applicant: SLING MEDIA L.L.C.Inventors: John Paul, Myles Cagney, Peter Mark Hennessy

Patent number: 11170082Abstract: A method of operation and non-transitory computer readable medium are provided for a mobile communications device which includes memory storing program instructions and a processor coupled to a first input that passively collects input data and a second input that collects response data based on a challenge. A statistical behavioral model is generated based upon passively collected input data for the user. A level of assurance (LOA) is determined based upon the statistical behavioral model and the passively collected input data from the first input. The LOA is compared with a threshold and based on the comparison: the mobile device operation is enabled as a result of determining that the LOA meets or exceeds the threshold without requiring response data from the at least one second input, otherwise, the challenge is generated and the mobile device operation is enabled responsive to valid response data from the second input.Type: GrantFiled: December 5, 2019Date of Patent: November 9, 2021Assignee: BlackBerry LimitedInventors: Michael Andrew Goldsmith, Aleksandar Papo, Robert Joseph Lombardi, Jasmin Mulaosmanovic, Nazih Almalki, Brian Everett McBride, Peter Mark Rabinovitch

Patent number: 10662766Abstract: A dynamic testing system for sealing devices includes a shaft that is reciprocated in a bore through a body. The shaft includes a first seal assembly and a second seal assembly disposed a distance apart on the shaft. When the shaft is inserted into the bore, the first seal assembly and the second seal assembly form a fluid-tight seal between the external surface of the shaft and the internal surface of the bore—this forms a fluid-tight cavity between the seal assemblies. Sealing devices in each of the first seal assembly and the second seal assembly experience chemical attack and mechanical wear. One or more axial force measurement sensors measure the force applied by a prime mover to reciprocate the shaft within the bore. Data acquisition circuitry collects the force information and generates a graphical output that plots friction force against reciprocating cycle count.Type: GrantFiled: June 30, 2017Date of Patent: May 26, 2020Assignee: SOUTHWEST RESEARCH INSTITUTEInventors: Nigil Satish Jeyashekar, Peter Mark Lee

Publication number: 20200049750Abstract: A device provides an electromagnetically active area where the presence of a newly discovered field can manifest its characteristic behavior. This detection area is comprised of electrochemical batteries, rarified inert gases and materials combined so as to be responsive to electromagnetic field changes with remote data transmission for collection. The device creates an inertial reaction effect from the field by creating a high inertial mass. When the inertia of the core is at a high level, the device can also provide a progressive rotation and other physical changes in the device's location in space. Observation of the electro-magnetically active detection area, which surrounds the core as a spherical surface, will reveal the newly observed Machian phenomenon. The observation will occur with a frequency equal or greater than the actual surface area where the detection material is active.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 27, 2017Publication date: February 13, 2020Inventor: Peter Mark Jansson

Patent number: 10535430Abstract: A method and system for grouping medical claims data, including outpatient medical claims, into medical events for further analysis is disclosed. Historical outpatient medical claims data is first aggregated by one or more categorization schemes, and then grouped by patient and date. Once the outpatient medical claims data is aggregated and grouped, the methods disclosed build outpatient events by further grouping together disparate medical claims data records that represent a single encounter with an outpatient healthcare system. The outpatient events may be used for analyzing aspects of outpatient care.Type: GrantFiled: July 25, 2014Date of Patent: January 14, 2020Assignee: INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MACHINES CORPORATIONInventors: Anne Elizabeth Fischer, Dennis Dunn, Gary Pickens, Elisse Jane Moldwin, Peter Mark Bouman, George Sirbu

Patent number: 10515198Abstract: A mobile communications device includes a plurality of first input devices capable of passively collecting input data, a second input device(s) capable of collecting response data based upon a challenge, and a processor capable of determining a level of assurance (LOA) that possession of the mobile communications device has not changed based upon a statistical behavioral model and the passively received input data, and comparing the LOA with a security threshold. When the LOA is above the security threshold, the processor may be capable of performing a given mobile device operation without requiring response data from the second input device(s). When the LOA falls below the security threshold, the processor may be capable of generating the challenge, performing the given mobile device operation responsive to valid response data, and adding recent input data to the statistical behavioral model responsive to receipt of the valid response data.Type: GrantFiled: April 23, 2018Date of Patent: December 24, 2019Assignee: BlackBerry LimitedInventors: Michael Andrew Goldsmith, Aleksandar Papo, Robert Joseph Lombardi, Jasmin Mulaosmanovic, Nazih Almalki, Brian Everett McBride, Peter Mark Rabinovitch

Patent number: 10371538Abstract: An online system associated with a venue provides an application to client devices that allows a user to select an additional user from information accessible to a client device and to identify a meeting point within the venue for the user and the additional user to meet. The application identifies the additional user to an online system, which determines whether the additional user also uses the online system and is within a threshold distance of the venue. If the additional user is a user of the online system and is within the threshold distance of the venue, the online system transmits a request to travel to the meeting point to a client device associated with the additional user. The online system also provides directions to the user's client device and to the additional user's client device for the user and the additional user, respectively, to travel to the meeting point.Type: GrantFiled: December 22, 2016Date of Patent: August 6, 2019Assignee: VenueNext, Inc.Inventor: Peter Mark Hennessy
