  • Patent number: 6562148
Abstract: In a method for the pretreatment of work pieces having a surface made of aluminium or aluminium alloys, for non-cutting shaping and/or the connection by welding or gluing to work pieces as well as for a subsequent permanent corrosion-preventing treatment, the work pieces are subjected to a three-stage treatment by a) rinsing with an aqueous, acidic solution containing a mineral acid, b) rinsing with water, c) bringing them into contact with an aqueous, acidic solution which is chromium-free and polymer-free and contains Ti and Zr as complex fluorides in a weight ratio of Ti:Zr of 2:1 to 1:2, in such a way that, after the subsequent drying off, a layer weight of 2 to 15 mg/m2 (calculated as Ti/Zr metal) results, wherein depending on the type of application, solutions having different concentrations and different pH values are used.

  • Publication number: 20030075202
Abstract: An adjustable brush for cleaning a drive or sprocket chain has a C-shaped toolhead fixed to a handle with an opposing cleaning element. The length of the handle sufficiently keeps users hands away from the chain during cleaning, and provides a means for the opposing cleaning element to clean generally inaccessible areas. The toolhead defines a chain passage recess having a plurality of inner sides. Each inner side has projecting retaining members to define a brush block cavity adapted to removably receive a brush block element such that a cleaning member formed thereon projects into the recess. Likewise, the opposing cleaning element has a pair of retaining members projecting therefrom to define a brush block cavity adapted to removably receive a brush block element.

  • Patent number: 6548561
Abstract: In a method for recovering pure PVC from pre-disintegrated PVC containing substance mixtures, the substance mixture is soaked in a swelling agent for PVC, is supplied under pressure into an arrangement of at least two sequential hydrocyclones, wherein, in the first hydrocyclone, a heavy fraction of impurities is separated in the sink flow and a light fraction of swelled PVC particles and light impurities and plastic particles are separated in the rising flow, wherein the pre-cleaned light fraction is sorted and the particle fraction comprising the swelled PVC particles and smaller plastic particles is fed to the second hydrocyclone in which the PVC particles are separated in the sink flow. The invention also describes a device for carrying out the method.
