  • Patent number: 5919545
Abstract: A composite panel comprising a core (12) and at least one outer sheet (14) which is adhesively bonded to the core is such that the composite panel (10) is shape-formed creating at least one radius of bending (24b) in the outer layer (14). The core (12) has a cellular structure and is bonded to the outer layer (14) at least by one visco-elastic adhesive layer (16) applied over the entire inner surface of the outer layer (14). The combination of the honeycomb structure of the core and the adhesive layer with the mentioned properties attaching the core to the outer sheet leads to a composite panel that may be shaped quickly and at favorable cost, without the outer layers being damaged or the stength being significantly reduced. As a result of the large area visco-elastic bonding a higher resistance to delamination, debonding due to vibration, corrosion and moisture is achieved.

  • Patent number: 5819788
Abstract: A base-plate distributing valve comprised of a valve body, a base-plate element and a valve element slidably disposed within a longitudinal bore of the valve body. Pressure medium line ports and pressure medium lines are contained within the valve body and the base-plate element. The base-plate element contains an opening into which the part of the valve body which contains the valve element may be inserted. Within the valve element are valves. A drive element controls the valve element which shifts position the position of the valves within the longitudinal bore of the valve body to permit alignment of the pressure medium lines for flow therethrough. Accordingly, when the valve body is inserted into the base-plate element in a pressure-medium-tight seal, a substantially straight-lined flow of a medium through the base-plate element at a high flow rate is achieved.

  • Patent number: 5810424
Abstract: A two-seat convertible has wind deflecting bodies which are disposed behind the headrests of the vehicle seats and rest on the vehicle body top rear side and project upwards to approximately the height of the upper edge of the respective headrest. The headrests are constructed in the shape of a hood which tapers toward the rear and is approximately parabolic with respect to the outer contour, in which case the contour of a headrest is situated within the flow-around area of the surface of the assigned wind deflecting body which projects upwards in the front. Each wind deflecting body can be detachably fastened on the vehicle body.

  • Patent number: 5749562
Abstract: A modular valve arrangement, including: a plurality of individual values each having a passage therein with a longitudinal axis, and a fixing arrangement for joining the valves together into a joined condition in which the passages cooperate to form at least one pressure-fluid line through the entire valve arrangement. The fixing arrangement includes, for each valve, a dovetail tenon on one surface of the valve and a dovetailed mortise on an opposite surface of the valve. The mortise and tenon of adjacent valves being engageable with one another in the joined condition, and extending on their respective valve side in a direction perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the pressure-fluid line. For securing the valves in the joined condition, each valve includes a nub on one surface and a corresponding depression on an opposite surface of the valve arranged so that the nub of one valve engages the depression of an adjacent valve in the joined condition.
