  • Patent number: 5226844
Abstract: A drive for a boat has a propeller hub rotatable about a main axis extending in a normal travel direction, a plurality of blades projecting generally radially of the main axis from the hub and each pivotal so as to be of variable pitch, and respective blade rods extending axially and displaceable axially relative to the hub to vary the pitch of the blades. A stator carried on the boat downstream in the direction from the hub and nonrotatable about the axis rotatably supports a cylinder housing that is releasably connected to the rods for joint axial movement therewith. A piston displaceable along the axis in the cylinder is releasably connected to the hub for joint axial movement therewith. Pressurizable lines extending through the stator are connected to the cylinder for alternately pressurizing the piston and thereby relatively axially shifting the rods and hub.

  • Patent number: 5155908
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of making a pump ring for a two-stage vacuum pump (1) with a one-piece rotor system (14) having three sections (14a, b, c), whose end sections (14a and 14c form the two pumping stages and whose middle section (14b) forms an intermediate bearing, the diameters of the bearing section (14band of the rotor section (14a) forming the forepumping stage being equal. To reduce the tolerances that occur it is proposed that two bores be made in a single set-up from one end of a substantially cylindrical workpiece, the one forming the anchor contact (51) of the forepumping stage as well as the bearing bore (12) and the other forming the anchor contact (52) of the high-vacuum stage, and that before or after these bores aremade, additional bores (11, 13) are made in order to form the pump chambers (21, 17).

  • Patent number: 5144543
Abstract: In a domestic appliance such as a washer, dishwasher, dryer, beverage preparation device or the like having several control circuits driven by varying voltage supplies, the input control circuit is supplied with a relatively low voltage and is electrically isolated from higher voltages within the circuitry of the appliance. An optical isolator is provided in the communication channel between the input control circuit and a power control circuit which is connected to circuit elements connected to the A.C. line voltage. The low voltage supply driving the input control circuit is also isolated from the A.C. line voltage. All operator accessible components are coupled to the input control circuit and are therefore isolated from the A.C. line voltage.

  • Patent number: 5125776
Abstract: A hydraulic clamping device for the axial clamping of bodies of rotation, especially tools, onto a revolving mandrel is provided. It has a base body fixed to a mandrel and a rotary piston which is suspended in a floating manner inside the base body and is axially slidable relative to the base body via a closed-circuit hydraulic system and setscrews. The tool is tightly clamped in an axial direction. In order to improve the axial rigidity of the hydraulic clamping device, to provide a fast and directed adjustment of the concentricity during the clamping of the tool inside the device and to provide a radial freedom of play during operation, a sleeve fastened to the mandrel is provided to which the base body is attached. The sleeve is equipped with an elastic flange, a first face of which is engaged by the rotary piston and a second face of which is abuttable against said tool.
