  • Publication number: 20220135026
Abstract: Techniques for controlling a vehicle based on a collision avoidance algorithm are discussed herein. The vehicle receives sensor data and can determine that the sensor data represents an object in an environment through which the vehicle is travelling. A computing device associated with the vehicle determines a collision probability between the vehicle and the object at predicted locations of the vehicle and object at a first time. Updated locations of the vehicle and object can be determined, and a second collision probability can be determined. The vehicle is controlled based at least in part on the collision probabilities.

  • Publication number: 20220131048
Abstract: Pixelated-LED chips including a plurality of independently electrically accessible active layer portions supported by a plurality of discontinuous substrate portions to form a plurality of pixels, with underfill material of varying composition provided between sidewalls of adjacent pixels. Underfill materials having different reflection, scattering, absorption, filtering, etch-resistance, and/or light refraction properties may be provided in multiple layers. A method for fabricating a pixelated-LED chip includes defining streets through an active layer and portions of a substrate to form active layer portions, thinning an entire upper portion of a substrate to create openings into the streets and form discontinuous substrate portions bounding the streets, and supplying underfill material through the openings into the streets.

  • Publication number: 20220108795
Abstract: A medical communication protocol translator can be configured to facilitate communication between medical devices that are programmed to communicate with different protocol formats. The medical communication protocol translator can receive an input message formatted according to a first protocol format from a first medical device and to output an output message formatted according to a second protocol format supported by a second medical device using a set of translation rules. For example, a medical communication protocol translator can receive an input message from a hospital information system formatted according to a first HL7 protocol format and output an output message formatted according to a second HL7 protocol format based on a comparison with the set of translation rules.

  • Patent number: 11219766
Abstract: A method of controlling a neural stimulus by use of feedback. The neural stimulus is applied to a neural pathway in order to give rise to an evoked action potential on the neural pathway. The stimulus is defined by at least one stimulus parameter. A neural compound action potential response evoked by the stimulus is measured. From the measured evoked response a feedback variable is derived. A feedback loop is completed by using the feedback variable to control the at least one stimulus parameter value. The feedback loop adaptively compensates for changes in a gain of the feedback loop caused by electrode movement relative to the neural pathway.

  • Patent number: 11216420
Abstract: Systems and methods for iterative, high-performance, low-latency data replication. A method embodiment commences upon identifying one or more replica target nodes to receive replicas of working data. Steps of the method then compose at least one replication message. The replication message includes the location or contents of working data as well as a listing of downstream replica target nodes. The replication capacity is measured at the subject node. Based on the measured replication capacity, the subject node sends instructions in the replication message to one or more downstream replica target nodes. Any one or more of the downstream replica target nodes receives the instructions and iterates the steps of measuring its own capacity and determining the instructions, if any, to send to further downstream replica target nodes. Each replica target node replicates the working data. In some cases, the measured replication capacity is enough to perform all replications in parallel.

The microtextured etched surface may be formed by applying a micromask having first and second solid materials of different etching rates over the light extraction surface, and exposing the micromask to an etchant (e.g., via reactive ion etching) to form a microtextured etched surface having a non-repeating, irregular textural pattern. Lumiphoric material may be applied over the microtextured surface.
