  • Publication number: 20240323691
Abstract: A processing circuit is coupled to imaging devices through multiple data communication links. Each data communication link couples at least one imaging device with the processing circuit. The processing circuit is configured to determine when a change is required in a first data protection configuration that protects first image data transmitted over a first data communication link, and determine a second data protection configuration to be used when second image data is transmitted from a first imaging device over the first data communication link to an image processing circuit. The first data protection configuration or the second data protection configuration provides a partial integrity mode of data protection for frames of image data transmitted over the first data communication link. The partial integrity mode protects some, but not all frames of image data transmitted over the first data communication link using a message authentication code.

  • Patent number: 12055764
Abstract: Communications systems and methods for communicating data are provided. In one example, the communications system includes an outer ring having an inner surface and an inner ring having an outer surface. The inner surface and the outer surface are separated by a gap that extends around the inner ring to define a loop. A modulating light arrangement receives data and produces modulated light. A first light diffusing optical fiber and a second light diffusing optical fiber are disposed on a first side of the gap and extend in the loop to define an optical data ring. The first light diffusing optical fiber and the second light diffusing optical fiber cooperate to diffuse the modulated light along the optical data ring. A detector is disposed on the second side of the gap and detects the diffuse modulated light.

  • Publication number: 20240259214
Abstract: An electronic access key system includes an access device. The access device is configured to receive an electronic access key from a presenter computing system of a presenter and control access to a physical space. The electronic access key was previously digitally signed by an issuer computing system of an issuer associated with the access device by generating a digital signature using a private key of the issuer, which is of a cryptographic key pair that also includes a public key. The access device stores the public key of the issuer associated therewith prior to receiving the electronic access key from the presenter computing system. Upon receiving the electronic access key, access device verifies the electronic access key with the public key of the issuer and denies the presenter access to the physical space if the electronic access key is not verified.

  • Publication number: 20240203628
Abstract: Described herein are concepts, system and techniques which provide a means to construct robust high-field superconducting magnets using simple fabrication techniques and modular components that scale well toward commercialization. The resulting magnet assembly—which utilizes non-insulated, high temperature superconducting tapes (HTS) and provides for optimized coolant pathways—is inherently strong structurally, which enables maximum utilization of the high magnetic fields available with HTS technology. In addition, the concepts described herein provide for control of quench-induced current distributions within the tape stack and surrounding superstructure to safely dissipate quench energy, while at the same time obtaining acceptable magnet charge time. The net result is a structurally and thermally robust, high-field magnet assembly that is passively protected against quench fault conditions.

The first housing has an axial end face with a circumferentially extending, shaped profile having recessed portions that project axially inward alternating with non-recessed portions. A portion of the stator core extends axially out from the recessed portions. A core retention spring is disposed circumferentially at the axial end face of the first housing. The core retention spring has direct contact with the portion of the stator core that extends axially out from the recessed portions of the first housing and the shaped profile of the housing. The core retention spring pushes against the portion of the stator core that extends that extends axially out from the first housing, imparting one or more of an axial load and radial load into the stator core.
