  • Publication number: 20210400342
Abstract: Various implementations disclosed herein include devices, systems, and methods for performing content generation based on audience engagement. In some implementations, a method includes presenting a first portion of content. Engagement data is obtained for an audience comprising a plurality of persons while the first portion of the content is presented. Based on the engagement data, a collective engagement level of the audience is determined for the first portion of the content. A second portion of the content that has not been presented is adjusted based on the collective engagement level of the audience for the first portion of the content in order to satisfy an engagement threshold. After adjusting the second portion of the content, the second portion of the content is presented to the audience.

  • Publication number: 20210391784
Abstract: An improved method for zero-voltage switching (ZVS) of a voltage-fed half-bridge using a variable dead band is provided. The duration of the dead band is determined dynamically and is precisely long enough to ensure the absence of shoot-through events while also minimizing or eliminating switching losses and reverse conduction losses. The method generally includes: (a) calculating the equivalent capacitance as seen by the current source charging the midpoint of the half-bridge; (b) calculating the ZVS charge requirement based on the link voltage and the equivalent capacitance; (c) calculating the charge delivered by the current source over time during a dead band vector, equating the result to the ZVS charge requirement, and solving for the ZVS time requirement at each commutation point over the switching cycle; and (d) updating the dead bands for each commutation of each half-bridge in the switched-mode power converter.

  • Patent number: 11186441
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide systems and methods for monitoring and removing contaminants from a conveyor surface based upon predicted frictional engagement qualities detected on a conveyor surface. In some examples, the methods may include monitoring the conveyor surface with at least one sensor configured to sense a condition on the conveyor surface. The sensor may detect the presence of a contaminant, and communicate the location of the detected contaminant to a processor. A treatment cycle may then be initiated to remove or displace the contaminant from the conveyor surface after the presence of a contaminant has been detected.

  • Publication number: 20210313104
Abstract: Described herein are concepts, system and techniques which provide a means to construct robust high-field superconducting magnets using simple fabrication techniques and modular components that scale well toward commercialization. The resulting magnet assembly—which utilizes non-insulated, high temperature superconducting tapes (HTS) and provides for optimized coolant pathways—is inherently strong structurally, which enables maximum utilization of the high magnetic fields available with HTS technology. In addition, the concepts described herein provide for control of quench-induced current distributions within the tape stack and surrounding superstructure to safely dissipate quench energy, while at the same time obtaining acceptable magnet charge time. The net result is a structurally and thermally robust, high-field magnet assembly that is passively protected against quench fault conditions.

  • Publication number: 20210275790
Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods for delivery of a topical substance, including medicaments and/or cosmetic formulas, with carbon dioxide to the surface of the skin. The systems regulate the pH, temperature and viscosity of the topical substance, which provides benefits to the treatment of the skin. For beauty treatments, the systems lessen wrinkles of the skin and hydrate at the same time. For medicaments with active ingredients, the systems enhance delivery and ionic state using pH adjustment. The systems include devices that contain a reservoir of carbon dioxide, which flows through a heat control path where the temperature of the carbon dioxide is adjusted to a desired setting. The temperature-controlled carbon dioxide then mixes with the topical substance in a chamber, which is pressed against or applied to the skin to achieve the benefits.
