  • Patent number: 10909343
Abstract: A peg, suitable for insertion into a hole in a surgical tray, includes a cap piece, a directional member, and a columnar protrusion. The cap piece includes a machine-readable object that contains data representing information about one or more surgical assets. The directional member has a directional feature which points in a particular direction and which may be oriented to point to one or more surgical assets having the properties represented by the data on the machine-readable object. The columnar protrusion is suitable for being securely inserted into a hole in the surgical tray, such as by being pushed into a hole in a rubber footer. Removal of a surgical asset from the tray is performed by reading data from the machine-readable object that points to the surgical asset and using that data to modify a count of the type of object contained in the tray.

  • Publication number: 20200394320
Abstract: Machine learning model data privacy can be maintained by training a machine learning model forming part of a data science process using data anonymized using each of two or more differential privacy mechanisms. Thereafter, it is determined, for each of the two or more differential privacy mechanisms, a level of accuracy and a level precision when evaluating data with known classifications. Subsequently, using the respective determined levels of precision and accuracy, a mitigation efficiency ratio is determined for each of the two or more differential privacy mechanisms. The differential privacy mechanism having a highest mitigation efficiency ratio is then incorporated into the data science process. Related apparatus, systems, techniques and articles are also described.

  • Publication number: 20200346119
Abstract: Players of tournament games require a network for them to play with one another remotely. But, in order for play to occur simultaneously, players must be informed that a game is ongoing or underway. Similarly, if one player wishes another player to join, the one player must invite the other, by in part, informing the other player of the time and location of play as well as information specific to the game the one player is participating in or forming. Accordingly, a communication means is required to bring players together. A communication means for remote players does not exist for players of real-world games where players use physical instruments where game data is based at least in part on sensor-acquired data.

  • Patent number: 10746567
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer-readable storage media for privacy preserving metering is described herein. A resource threshold value associated with anonymizing meter data for resources metered at a first destination is received. Based on a noise scale value and the resource threshold value, an individual inference value of the first destination is computed. The individual inference value defines a probability of distinguishing the first destination as a contributor to a query result based on anonymized meter data of the first destination and other destinations according to the noise scale value. The noise scale value is defined for a processing application. Based on evaluating the individual inference value, it is determined to provide anonymized meter data for metered resources at the first destination. An activation of a communication channel for providing the anonymized meter data for metered resources is triggered.

  • Publication number: 20190269450
Abstract: An electrosurgical device that is capable of both generating a plasma to perform surface coagulation and emitting a non-ionising microwave field (in the absence of plasma) to perform coagulation at a deeper level. The device comprises a probe tip that is connected to receive radiofrequency (RF) and/or microwave frequency energy from a generator, and also defines a flow path for a gas. The probe tip is adjustable between a first configuration, in which it defines a bipolar (e.g. coaxial) structure to produce a high electric field from the received RF and/or microwave frequency energy across the flow path for the gas to strike and sustain plasma and a second configuration, in which it defines an antenna structure to emit non-ionising microwave energy into tissue.

  • Patent number: 10369245
Abstract: A system for treating emissions from a vehicle includes an ozone generator, a first holding tank, and an exhaust vent. The first holding tank is downstream from the ozone generator and defines a volume for liquid waste beneath a void space. The exhaust vent is downstream from the first holding tank and outside of the vehicle. A supply conduit connects the ozone generator to the void space of the first holding tank. An exhaust conduit connects the void space of the first holding tank to the exhaust vent. The ozone generator, supply conduit, void space of the first holding tank, exhaust conduit, and exhaust vent establish a thermal driving head from the ozone generator through the void space of the first holding tank to the exhaust vent.
