Patent number: 9341657Abstract: A printed circuit includes a hole, a stack, one or more first coils, a magnetic core, and a pad. The hole passes through the vertically through the board to receive a conducting wire. The stack comprises metallization layers vertically stacked and separated mechanically from one another by electrically insulating layers. The first coils fulfill functions of a measurement coil and of an excitation coil. Each first coil has turns wound solely around the magnetic core. The magnetic core forms a first magnetic ring surrounding the hole and extending horizontally between metallization layers. Each turn of each first coil is formed by two conducting tracks produced, respectively, in metallization layers situated above and below the first magnetic ring. The pad passes through an insulating layer and passes through an interior of the magnetic ring, electrically linking the two conducting tracks.Type: GrantFiled: September 6, 2012Date of Patent: May 17, 2016Assignee: Commissariat à l'énergie atomique et aux énergies alternativesInventor: Philippe Klein

Publication number: 20160044076Abstract: A mobile device of a user discovers topological information about electronic devices in a premise environment, and shares such information with a media gateway. The media gateway uses the topological information to augment content from a server, such as a web page that supports access to media content, to add graphical objects corresponding to those electronic devices in proximity to the mobile device that are capable of reproducing the streaming media content. Selection of the one of the add-on graphical objects causes delivery of the media content to the corresponding electronic device instead of the display of the mobile device. In this manner, a more natural selection mechanism than that available using conventional pull-down lists of options is provided.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 19, 2015Publication date: February 11, 2016Inventor: Philippe Klein

Publication number: 20150372907Abstract: In some aspects, the disclosure is directed to methods and systems for management of path selection and reservation between layer 3 devices, as well as path selection and reservation across L2/L3 boundaries. In one implementation, path selection can be managed by separating independent but “cooperating” layers, with layer 3 topology and non-adjacent layer 2 topologies handled separately. A first layer 3 router can be identified as a path computation engine (PCE), while other layer 3 routers can be implemented as path control clients (PCC(s)). One layer 2 PCE can be assigned per layer 2 topology, preventing competing path assignments and reservations.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 18, 2015Publication date: December 24, 2015Applicant: BROADCOM CORPORATIONInventors: Jouni Korhonen, Philippe Klein

Patent number: 9191305Abstract: Convergent network architecture and path information. Within a convergent network composed of different respective networks, each respective network may be controlled or managed internally and independently with respect to the other networks. For example, each respective network includes a forwarding and link metrics database and is managed by its own respective control entity (e.g., which may be any one of the given devices were nodes within that network). Generally speaking, each respective network may be modeled as an Ethernet bridge such that each respective bridge natively maintains its own forwarding and link metrics database. Such link metrics are specific to a given network and may cover one or both of prioritized Quality of Service (QoS) and parameterized QoS. Relays between neighboring bridges may effectively propagate and/or forward their respective databases, and update of any given database may be made asynchronously or based on a neighboring bridge query.Type: GrantFiled: December 22, 2011Date of Patent: November 17, 2015Assignee: Broadcom CorporationInventor: Philippe Klein
