  • Publication number: 20050150705
Abstract: A seat which is to be removably mounted in position on tracks in a motor vehicle has at least one safety element in the form of an active safety device or sensor. A communication channel is established between a control unit and the safety element. At least part of the communication channel is a wireless link. There is a first system which provides a signal to the control unit when the seat is present in the vehicle, and an independent system which is separate from the seat-part of the communication channel, for determining the presence of the seat of the vehicle, and providing an appropriate signal to the control unit. The control unit therefore has two signals indicating the presence of the seat.

  • Patent number: 6668909
Abstract: An air-conditioning device for a vehicle comprising in a housing (13) a first conduit (20) for transmitting a cool air flow (F1) and a second conduit (22), wherein is installed a heat exchanger (24) for transmitting a warm air flow (F2). The conduits (20, 22) are interposed between an air intake (14) and a mixing zone (31) delivering mixed air. A system splitting (40) the air flows (F1, F2), delivered by the conduits (20, 22) is provided at the junction of the two conduits and in the second conduit (22) downstream of the heat exchanger (24). The splitting system (40) comprises transversely alternating a plurality of cool air passages (46) and a plurality of warm air passages (49). • Patent number: 6482081
Abstract: An upper mixing region (210) and a lower mixing region (214) are fed with hot air via a radiator (203) and with cold air by way of respective bypass ducts (205, 208). Respective mixing flaps (212, 219) make it possible to adjust the temperature separately in the two mixing regions, from where the treated air is sent into different parts of the passenger compartment of the vehicle. According to the invention, the two bypass ducts (205, 208) pass below the radiator (203) which makes it possible to minimise the length of the path for the hot air between the radiator and the de-icing outlet duct (221) situated at the upper part of the casing (200) of the installation, and consequently to accelerate a de-icing or demisting of the windscreen required urgently for reasons of safety.
