  • Publication number: 20140152348
Abstract: A BiCMOS current reference circuit includes a reference core, a startup circuit, and a reference current output circuit. The reference core contains a current mirror, a positive temperature coefficient current generator, and a negative temperature coefficient current generator. The current mirror generates matching branch current. The positive and negative temperature coefficient currents were added in certain proportion to generate a reference current with zero temperature coefficient at room temperature. The startup circuit starts the reference core at power-on. The reference current output circuit proportionably outputs reference current generated by the reference core. Compared with the conventional voltage reference, the circuit uses current conveying technique, so it won't be affected by DC voltage drops of power supply network, and it features low transmission loss, good matching, excellent temperature stability, small chip size and auto-startup at power-on.

  • Patent number: 8731987
Abstract: A technique that is usable with a well includes providing a model so predict measurements that are received by receivers due to transmissions by sources based on estimated positions of the receivers relative to the sources. The estimated positions each have at least two dimensions. At least some of the receivers and the sources are located in the well. On a computer, the estimated positions are automatically refined based on a comparison of the predicted measurements and actual measurements that are obtained by the receivers.

  • Patent number: 8728765
Abstract: The invention is directed to systems, methods, and apparatus for carrying out multi-stage amplification reactions, especially under fluidly closed conditions. In one aspect, methods of the invention are carried out in a fluidly closed reaction system that permits the isolation of a portion of a first (or prior) reaction mixture and its use as a sample or specimen in a second (or subsequent) reaction mixture, thereby substantially avoiding interfering effects that first reaction components may have in the second reaction if both reaction mixtures were simply combined together. In this aspect, systems, methods, and apparatus of the invention may be used with any amplification reaction that permits multiple stages of amplification based on the use of nested primers.

  • Publication number: 20130329650
Abstract: A method for allocating downlink transmission power of coordinated transmission devices in coordinated multi-point transmission system includes the coordinated transmission devices receiving feedback of channel state information of sub-channels occupied by a terminal from the terminal. The channel state information includes channel phase information and channel amplitude information. Each of the coordinated transmission devices adjusts phases of their sending signals over its sub-channels respectively so as to make phase difference of the sending signals, which are received by the terminal from the coordinated transmission devices via a same sub-channel, to be minimal. Each of the coordinated transmission devices determines its power allocation proportions for the sub-channels on the basis of feedback of channel amplitude information from the terminal and the adjusted phases of the sending signals.
