  • Patent number: 10043027
Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed for determining mask-value pairs for controlling access to a memory segment for a plurality of IDs. A first set of mask-value pairs is determined for a set of allowed identifiers (IDs) and a set of non-allowed IDs. Each mask-value pair of the first set matches at least one ID of the set of allowed IDs and does not match any of the IDs of the set of non-allowed IDs. Redundant mask-value pairs are removed from the first set to produce a second set. Subsets of mask-value pairs in the second set that match the entire set of allowed IDs are determined. The subset having the highest processing efficiency is determined and selected. A set of configuration data is generated that is configured to cause a memory management circuit to enforce access to the memory segment based on the selected subset of mask-value pairs.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A station may be communicating with an access point during a first active communication period. The communication may be performed in a first power mode. The station may switch to a second power mode to transition to a sleep period. The station may determine, based on traffic indicator metric(s), whether to perform a speculative wakeup and switch to the first power mode at the end of the sleep period.

  • Patent number: 10028156
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for wireless communications. A device may utilize enhanced roaming techniques to identify a candidate channel for roaming. In one example, a device determines whether a candidate channel is congested by calculating a congestion metric associated with traffic over the shared channel. In some examples, the congestion metric is calculated based at least in part on an amount of energy measured over the candidate. For instance, the calculated congestion metric can be an instantaneous congestion level measured during a CCA. The device may then determine whether to roam to the candidate channel based at least in part on the calculated congestion metric.

  • Patent number: 10015681
Abstract: This application discloses methods for creating self-organizing networks implemented on heterogeneous mesh networks. The self-organizing networks can include a computing cloud component coupled to the heterogeneous mesh network. In the methods and computer-readable mediums disclosed herein, a processor determines if a user equipment (UE) should hand over its service from a base station to a multi-radio access technology (RAT) node, based on heuristics including one or more of: a distance traveled over a time T1, an average speed over a time T2, a destination stored in internal memory within the UE, a speed limit measurement for a nearby road, a possible direction in which the UE could travel, a signal strength measurement for a servicing base station, and a signal strength measurement for the multi-RAT node. A position profile may be used to predict a future location of the UE.
