  • Publication number: 20170033682
Abstract: A charge pump design suitable for generating high voltages employs multiple low voltage capacitors and low voltage transfer switches, with a limited number of high voltage devices. This is designed such that during a first clock phase, capacitors are each connected between an input voltage and ground and, during a second clock phase all the capacitors are connected in series to generate the required voltage. Both the switches (PMOS) and as well the capacitors are realized as low voltage devices. The ability to use low voltage devices can significantly reduce the area and also a reduction in current consumption relative to the usual high voltage charge pumps which uses high voltage devices.

  • Publication number: 20170031925
Abstract: A client receives map objects that define respective physical objects of a floor plan of a building, including a floor plan outer boundary, one or more rooms, and connected pathways traversable by a person. The client renders, in scalable vector graphic form, the map objects into a map of the floor plan that depicts the respective physical objects, including the one or more rooms, the connected pathways, and the outer boundary. The client displays the map. The client receives an update message that defines a change to the floor plan with respect to a map object identified in the update message, and renders the change with respect to the identified map object into the map to depict the change on the map without rendering any other ones of the map objects that were previously rendered into the map. The client displays the map with the change depicted on the map.

  • Patent number: 9560593
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for merging two or more power save enabled independent basic service set (IBSS) networks. In one example, a method includes receiving, at a station of a first IBSS network, a first beacon from a second IBSS network, wherein the first beacon identifies a timing synchronization function (TSF) of the second IBSS network. The method may further include transmitting, by the station, a second beacon at a next target beacon transmission time (TBTT) of the first IBSS network based on a comparison of the TSF of the second IBSS network with a TSF stored by the station, wherein the second beacon identifies a TSF of the second IBSS network.

  • Publication number: 20170010950
Abstract: A trace of a bounded liveness failure of a system component is received, by one or more processors, along with fairness constraints and liveness assertion conditions. One or more processors generate randomized values for unassigned input values and register values, of the trace, and simulate traversal of each of a sequence of states of the trace. One or more processors determine whether traversing the sequence of states of the trace results in a repetition of a state, and responsive to determining that traversing the sequence of states of the trace does result in a repetition of a state, and the set of fairness constraints are asserted within the repetition of a state, and that the continuous liveness assertion conditions are maintained throughout the repetition of the state, a concrete counterexample of a liveness property of the system component is reported.

  • Publication number: 20170013493
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for wireless communications. A device may utilize enhanced roaming techniques to identify a candidate channel for roaming. In one example, a device determines whether a candidate channel is congested by calculating a congestion metric associated with traffic over the shared channel. In some examples, the congestion metric is calculated based at least in part on an amount of energy measured over the candidate. For instance, the calculated congestion metric can be an instantaneous congestion level measured during a CCA. The device may then determine whether to roam to the candidate channel based at least in part on the calculated congestion metric.

  • Patent number: 9543934
Abstract: In an approach for determining multiplier values and divisor values for programming frequency multiplier and divider circuits in a clock network, respective requested frequency values and respective tolerance levels relative to the requested frequency values for a plurality of clocked circuit blocks are used. Multiple solution sets are generated, with each solution set including a multiplier value and an associated set of values of divisors, such that resulting actual frequencies satisfy the respective tolerance levels. Respective sets of clocked error values are determined for the plurality of solution sets, with each clocked error value corresponding to a clocked circuit block. Solution-set-error values are determined as a function of the respective sets of clocked error values, and the solution set having the least solution-set-error value is selected and stored.

  • Publication number: 20160353506
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for wireless communication. A device with multiple radios may establish a wireless local area network (WLAN) connection with a multi-radio gateway (i.e., a multiPHY gateway) and a wide area network (WAN) connection with a base station. The multi-radio device may receive a proxy capability indication from the multi-radio gateway and may transmit connection information relating to the second wireless connection. The multi-radio device may then establish a tunnel to the base station utilizing a proxy entity within the multi-radio gateway and close a physical (PHY) connection of the second wireless connection in order to save power. The multi-radio gateway may receive messages (e.g., paging, broadcast, or multicast messages) from the base station on behalf of the multi-radio device using the proxy entity, and tunnel the messages through to the multi-radio device using the WLAN wireless connection.

  • Publication number: 20160352217
Abstract: A charge pump is connected to receive a supply voltage and a clock signal and generate an output voltage. The charge pump is connected to the supply voltage through a transistor whose gate voltage is set by a regulation voltage determined by feedback from the output voltage. The current supplied to the charge pump through this transistor is mirrored in a section that generates the dock signal, where the mirrored current is used by a current controller oscillator. This allows the pump's clock frequency to linearly track the load current, improving the pump's efficiency.

  • Patent number: 9480015
Abstract: A first network device in communication with a second network device via a wireless communication link provides an indication to the second network device that the first network device will enter a power save mode. While operating in the power save mode, the first network device periodically transmits a trigger frame to the second network device to determine whether the second network device comprises buffered frames for the first network device. The first network device receives the buffered frames from the second network device responsive to transmitting the trigger frame. In another example, if both the first and the second network devices operate in the power save mode, the first network device receives a notification of available buffered frames from the second network device. The first network device transmits buffered frames destined for the second network device prior to transmitting a response to the received notification.
