    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Groupcast vehicle-to-everything (V2X) messages may include a control portion (e.g., a sidelink control information (SCI)-1 or SCI-2) and a data portion. Proximity information may be provided through an indication of a zone identifier (ID) of the transmitting vehicle, which may be a 12-bit value with 6-bits that indicate the X-direction and 6-bits that indicate the Y-direction. Additionally, a destination ID for a V2X transmission may indicate a super-zone. The super-zone, combined with the zone ID, can unambiguously identify multiple zones associated with a transmission, such that wrap-around in adjacent zones based on zone ID alone will not prompt a receiving vehicle (e.g., a receiving UE or a receiving device) to report feedback to a transmitting vehicle (e.g., a transmitting UE or a transmitting device).

During an active state of a first DRX cycle, the UE may receive second control signaling indicating that the UE is permitted to autonomously enter the inactive state for one or more DRX cycles of the multiple DRX cycles. Accordingly, the UE may transmit third control signaling that includes an inactive state indication indicating that the UE is to enter the inactive state. The UE may determine to transmit the inactive state indication according to an output of an artificial intelligence or machine learning model at the UE. Based on transmitting the inactive state indication, the UE may enter the inactive state.
