  • Patent number: 4691785
Abstract: There is disclosed a carriage for an agricultural implement, particularly for a reversible plow, in which the wheels at each side of the carriage are mounted to the carriage with forks which are pivotally received on a main axle and which have lift arms interconnected to a lift assembly. The wheel lift assembly has lift levers fixedly secured at opposite ends of a lift shaft and these are connected to their respective lift arms on the wheel forks by lift links having adjustable pinned connections to the lift levers whereby the fulcrum of each lift lever can be changed by insertion of pins in preselected, aligned pairs of apertures between the link arm and lift lever. The fulcrum positions of the lift levers control the elevations of the wheels on the carriage.

  • Patent number: 4355544
Abstract: A predetermined limit in the rotation of a manually rotatable control shaft is established by a special knob having a speed nut which secures the knob to the shaft, and an interrupted circular slot in the knob, concentric with the shaft, for cooperating with a fixed projection extending parallel to the shaft and into the circular slot. The device is described as usable in a thermostatically controlled heating system with an auxiliary control for improving efficiency.

  • Patent number: 4352262
Abstract: A method of repairing cracks in a concrete structure to prevent leakage wherein rods are inserted in the crack at spaced intervals to extend outwardly therefrom. A surface seal is applied to extend partially into the crack near the structure outer surface from which the rods extend, and to the structure outer surface adjacent to the crack and around the rods so that the surface seal acts as a surface barrier for the filler to be injected. Port members, having hollow shaft portions, and a flange portion are placed over the rods with the flange portions approximately adjacent the structure outer surface. Substantially the entire flange portion is embedded in the surface seal. The surface seal is allowed to cure to define a surface barrier for the filler, and the rods are removed from the crack and port members such that the ports communicate with the crack cavity behind the surface seal.

  • Patent number: 4240579
Abstract: Efficiency of domestic heating systems is improved by a flue temperature responsive switch for intermittently shutting down the burner when temperature conditions are such as would cause extended operation of the burner in the absence of the switch. The temperature at which shut-down occurs is adjustable, and the temperature at which burner operation is reestablished is dependent on the shut-down temperature. However, the minimum temperature at which burner operation is reestablished by the switch is fixed at the time of installation of the switch by securing a control knob having a stop at a selected position on a control shaft which adjusts the shut-down temperature. The switch contacts are constructed so that the switch closes if any of its principal movable parts fail.

  • Patent number: 3930910
Abstract: Crushed ammonium nitrate fueled with the proper nitropropane lower alcohol mix is a non cap-sensitive, field-mixable blasting agent that produces two to four times the detonation pressure obtainable with AN/FO, when loaded to densities between 1.10 and 1.55 by use of a simple over-hole mechanical device.
