  • Publication number: 20090120276
Abstract: A weapon system comprising a receiver, a barrel, a bolt, a barrel extension, a bolt carriage, and a toggle assembly. The barrel may have a longitudinal axis. The bolt may be spaced a distance from a rearward end of the barrel along the longitudinal axis of the barrel. The barrel extension may be attached to the bolt and connecting the barrel with the bolt. The barrel extension and bolt may be adapted to move linearly with respect to the receiver in a direction parallel to the longitudinal axis of the barrel. The bolt carriage may be movable relative to the bolt between an ammunition loading position and a firing position. • Patent number: 7526991
Abstract: A recoil-operated, impulse averaging, air-cooled, magazine-fed, automatic weapon. An operating group of the weapon includes a chamber, a bolt, a barrel extension and one or more toggles. The recoil action of the weapon from firing a first round drives the toggles in a motion constrained by a cam way. The toggles then drive the chamber in a linear reciprocating motion ejecting a first round and over-riding the next round. An impulse averaging system controls the speed of the recoil.

  • Patent number: 7325365
Abstract: A window protection structure for a building including novel structure for affixing a sheet of protection material over the window opening. The sheet material is cut to the size of the window opening in the building, and holes are formed therein. U-shaped clips are slid onto an upper edge of the sheet material, and a plurality of brackets are provided with a pair of holes formed therein. Cords loops are secured through the holes in the brackets. The brackets are adapted for receipt by the interior of the window and the cords are threaded to the exterior of the window. The cord loops are threaded through the holes in the sheet material. A bungee cord is then used for securing the ends of the cord loops, whereby the sheet material is held firmly against the window.

  • Patent number: 6973891
Abstract: The present invention is a drain plug assembly designed and configured to remain in the drain hole of a conventional pleasure boat, regardless of whether the vessel is in or out of the water. This drain plug assembly includes a body assembly having a single chamber. The chamber houses a shut-off valve for enabling the boater to open or close the drain plug assembly. This will allow water to escape or prevent it from entering the boat, respectively. A safety assembly is included in the chamber. The safety assembly prevents water passage into the boat should the user forget to close the drain plug assembly, prior to placing the boat in water.

  • Patent number: RE40400
Abstract: A scroll-type machine is disclosed which is particularly well suited for use as a compressor in refrigeration and air conditioning systems and incorporates a unique arrangement for modulating the capacity thereof. In one group of embodiments the capacity of the scroll-type machine is modulated by relative axial movement between the scroll members so as to form a leakage path across the wrap tips and opposed end plates. In another group of embodiments, modulation is achieved by reducing the orbital radius of one of the scroll members to thereby form a leakage path across the flank surfaces of the wraps. Both types of scroll separation may be accomplished in a time pulsed manner to thereby enable a full range of modulation with the duration of the loading and unloading periods being selected to maximize the efficiency of the overall system.
