  • Patent number: 7124897
Abstract: A product fronting assembly and method for fronting product is provided. In some embodiments, the assembly includes a base having a bottom, a front, a rear, and opposite sides. The assembly can also include a frame slidable within the base and having a front at least partially defining a handle and opposed sides coupled to the front of the frame. The opposed sides can be spaced a distance apart and between which product upon the base is received, and can be positioned to rest and slide upon the bottom and/or sides of the base. In some embodiments, the frame also includes a rear coupled to the opposed sides and movable by movement of the front of the frame to front product in the assembly.

  • Patent number: 6871747
Abstract: A product display shelving assembly according to some embodiments of the invention includes a pair of shelves in which one of the shelves is suspended from the other by a plurality of suspension pieces. Because the suspended shelf does not require a dedicated horizontal support member, a higher proportion of the shelving assembly's frontal area can be used for displaying products as compared to many types of conventional display shelving. More products can be thus displayed in a given space, less inventory needs to be warehoused and customers can shop more conveniently. The product display may be embodied in new shelving assemblies or conventional display shelving assemblies can be adapted with assembly structure according to the present invention.

  • Publication number: 20040211741
Abstract: Some embodiments of the shelving system according to the present invention include a row of shelving units rotatably attached to a support structure, and can include an oppositely facing row of rotatable or stationary shelving units also attached to the structure at a rear side of the rotatable shelving units. By rotating the rotatable shelving units, an operator can access the rear side of the rotatable shelving unit (as well as a shelving unit behind the rotatable shelving unit) for loading product. In some embodiments, a shelving unit can be moved clear from adjacent shelving units and can then be rotated to a loading position. Some embodiments of the shelving system include a row of rotatable shelving units arranged in a staggered manner providing clearance for the shelving units to rotate without interference with adjacent shelving units.

  • Publication number: 20040099619
Abstract: A product display shelving assembly is provided for displaying products to retail customers. The shelving assembly includes a pair of shelves in which one of the shelves is suspended from the other by a plurality of suspension pieces. The product display may be embodied in new shelving assemblies or conventional display shelving assemblies can be upgraded to accept the improved shelves.

  • Patent number: 6648151
Abstract: A shelf assembly for organizing and merchandising a plurality of products. The shelf assembly comprises a shelf having a bottom, plurality of dividers extending from front to back, a pair of dividers and the bottom forming a track in which a column of products are arranged. A front member pivotal about a stop, or pivotally engaged with the dividers, prevents the forwardmost product within the column from falling off the front of the shelf. The pivotal front members enable product to be pulled forwardly off the shelf, minimizing the spacing necessary between adjacent shelves.

  • Patent number: 6561365
Abstract: The present invention provides a shelving system comprising a gondola display having two rows of rear-loading shelves arranged back-to back. In one row of shelves, the shelves are hingedly attached to the gondola display, thereby allowing the shelves to be rotated away from the gondola. This exposes both the rear of the rotated shelves and the rear of the shelves located directly behind the rotated shelves, thereby allowing for easy rear-loading of product into both row of shelves at the same time. The present invention can also be used to allow for easy rear-loading of conventional gondola displays having a fixed base or bases. In such instances, a row of rotating shelf units, each having a retractable support wheel, is attached to one side of the conventional gondola. When these units are in their display position and when first rotated away from the gondola, the wheel is in a retracted position so that it is in contact with and can be rolled along the top surface of the fixed base.

  • Patent number: 6513667
Abstract: A shelf assembly for organizing and merchandising a plurality of products. The shelf assembly comprises a shelf supporting a plurality of product holders. Each product holder comprises a bottom, a pair of dividers and a front member secured to the dividers. The front member is pivotal about a horizontal axis and prevents the forwardmost product within a column of products from falling off the front of the shelf. The pivotal front member enables product to be pulled forwardly and minimizes the spacing necessary between adjacent shelves.

  • Patent number: 6439400
Abstract: A shelf assembly for organizing and merchandising a plurality of products. The shelf assembly comprises a shelf having a bottom, a plurality of wire dividers extending from front to back, and a wire stop secured to an adjacent pair of wire dividers. A front member pivotal about the wire stop prevents the forwardmost product within a column of products from falling off the front of the shelf. The pivotal front members enable product to be pulled forwardly off the shelf and minimize the spacing necessary between adjacent shelves.

  • Patent number: 6286694
Abstract: A display stand including a plurality of vertical uprights defining a plurality of holes. Four vertical uprights are joined together and a shelf is attached thereto with a first set of clips fixedly attached to a first end of the shelf and a second set of clips slidably attached to the second end of a shelf. The first set of clips are first engaged with holes defined in the vertical uprights. Next, the second end of the shelf is lowered into position substantially at the same height as the first end of the shelf, whereby the second set of clips is slid from the first position flush with the first end of the shelf to the second position extending into the holes defined in the vertical uprights in order to support the shelf within the vertical uprights.
