  • Patent number: 4411367
Abstract: A mobile display rack for the storage and display of packaged products. The display rack includes a frame structure comprising four vertically disposed support members supporting at or near their tops a vertically stationary top shelf. Within the frame structure positioned one above the other but below the stationary top shelf are a plurality of vertically movable shelves adapted to hold product containers. Each movable shelf has a lowest vertical position determined by a shelf stop assembly affixed to the frame structure, and a highest vertical position determined by the movable shelves above it.

  • Patent number: 4346806
Abstract: A shelf organizer comprising a series of wires, the ends of which extend downwardly perpendicular to the length of the wires and are received into edge pockets of sheets of corrugated plastic material. When the sheets of plastic material are secured to the front and rear edges of a shelf, the spaced wires form columns within which shelf displayed objects may be placed and thereby organized into spaced columns.

  • Patent number: 4293062
Abstract: An improved conveyor belt assembly that gravity feeds a column of containers one after another to the front edge of a display rack's shelf as that column's lead containers are successively removed by customers, the conveyor belt having certain specific friction coefficient relationships relative to its support floor and the containers thereon. The improved conveyor belt assembly includes a support floor, a snap-on end cap attached to each end of the support floor, and an endless conveyor belt that tracks over an idler spool mounted on each end cap. A shock absorber against which the column's lead container abuts during use is mounted on the front one of the end caps. The end caps also include alignment structure which cooperates with display rack's shelf to restrain the assembly in desired orientation on the shelf.

  • Patent number: 4148533
Abstract: A display rack for displaying in a market the combination of packaged soft drinks, advertising signs associated therewith, and chilled soft drinks for local consumption in the market is described. The display rack includes a central station in which a lithographed artwork depicting the products being sold or dispensed is disposed. A chilled beverage dispenser fits into the central section below the lithographed artwork. On each side of the central section is a shelf unit for storing and displaying packaged beverages of a like or similar kind to those dispensed in the central section of the display rack, as well as to those found in the packaged goods section at a separate location of the supermarket. A roof or canopy fits over all three sections of the display rack and holds them together as one unit. The canopy has an open top and diffuser panels in the bottom thereof to faciliate the illumination of the display rack sections with ambient light. A plurality of decorative lanterns are secured to the canopy.

  • Patent number: 4128177
Abstract: A display rack with an improved shelf assembly that gravity feeds a column of containers one after another to the front edge of a shelf as that column's lead containers are successively removed by customers. The shelf assembly includes a conveyor belt oriented so that its travel path is generally perpendicular to the shelf's front edge, the belt being adapted to receive a plurality of containers, e.g., bottles or cans, in a vertical or stand-up fashion thereon. The inside surface of the belt rides over a support floor and has a low coefficient of friction, and the outside surface of the belt on which the containers rest has a high coefficient of friction, relative one to the other.

  • Patent number: 4099625
Abstract: A display rack in which articles are disposed in rows parallel one to the other, each row on an upper shelf being disposed in the same vertical longitudinal plane as an underneath row on a lower shelf. In preferred form, the display rack's upper shelf is comprised of a plurality of separably operable floor frames, each floor frame being structured to serve only one row of articles. The floor frame for each of the upper shelf's rows is comprised of a right hand support section and a left hand support section, each support section being separably pivotable on a pivot axis disposed parallel to the row's vertical longitudinal plane, and the pivot axes being disposed on opposite sides of that longitudinal plane.

  • Patent number: 4064995
Abstract: A display rack having a novel corner post and shelf support structure. In preferred form, the corner post is of an angular, non-tubular configuration, and includes a plurality of shelf locater hole pairs provided along the length of the post. The shelf support clip is adapted to seat on the inside surface of the corner post, the clip including a pair of fingers that extend through a cooperating pair of the holes in the post at the desired shelf level. A decor strip is slidably received in a guideway defined on the external surface of the corner post, thereby hiding the clip's fingers and the unused locater holes from sight when the corner post's external surface is viewed by an observer.

  • Patent number: 4063518
Abstract: A novel shelf structure for a display rack. The shelf structure is movable in its support plane between an extended position and a retracted position to vary the shelf area exposed for merchandise support. The shelf structure also is positionable in either a horizontal display position or a rearward tilt display position as selected by the user of the display rack. The shelf itself includes a front section and a rear section, the front section being telescopible into and out of the rear section to establish the desired merchandise support area. Both shelf sections are carried on a pair of arms pivotally connected to opposed side frames of the display rack, the pivot axis of the arms being adjacent the front face of the display rack, to permit positioning of the shelf in either the horizontal or rearward tilt attitudes for merchandise display.

  • Patent number: 3939987
Abstract: An adjustable display support for soft drink bottles adjustably constructed from thick, tapered foam plastic material which may be cut to size by a saw. The foam plastic is laminated with a cover of lightweight sheet metal, plastic or any other sheet material or coated with a suitable plastic. The front of the vertical back member and the top of the bottom shelf member are inclined with respect to the respective other side thereof. The support may be installed on the permanent island or base in the supermarket and cut to size and there are strategically located double-sided adhesive tapes to hold things in place.
