  • Patent number: 5197610
Abstract: A high density pack out gondola display rack comprises a fixed base, an upright extending vertically from the rear of the fixed base, which upright has at least one shelf supported in cantilever fashion over the fixed base. Both the base and the shelf have downwardly and forwardly sloping top surfaces such that product supported on the top surfaces slide forwardly against abutments at the front edge of the base and shelf. A fixed display rack having multiple columns and rows of forwardly and downwardly sloping shelves is mounted on the base. There are also spring-up shelves adjustably supported from the upright by novel shelf supporting bracket assemblies. The shelves are preferably made from a plurality of longitudinally extending rods and a plurality of transverse rods, which rods are welded at their intersections.

  • Patent number: 5014862
Abstract: An assembly for cantilevered connection of a display header to a gondola display rack includes two uprights braced to the gondola display rack in vertical spaced relation. Each upright rigidly supports a cantilevered arm that includes a lower section and an upper section hingedly raisable with respect to the lower section. Brackets located at the free ends of the upper sections are adapted to support the sides of a triangularly shaped display header. The upper sections may be hingedly raised with respect to the lower sections to independently vary the vertical level of the ends of the mounted display header. By providing two brackets on the hingedly raisable upper sections, the assembly accommodates quick and easy connection and disconnection of two display headers located side-by-side in a row at the desired vertical height.

  • Patent number: 4896385
Abstract: A bunk bed frame of two rigid members has parallel spaced midportions for partially bounding an upper sleeping surface. Each midportion is connected to first and second end portions, the first end portions converging downwardly to an upper point of convergence along a mid plane between the midportions, further extending downwardly in secured juxtaposition to a lower point of convergence, diverging from the mid plane and further extending downwardly to contact the floor. The second end portions are mirror images of the respective first end portions. Below the lower points of convergence, a pair of spaced, horizontally disposed supports connect the first end portions to the respective second end portions of the members, thus partially bounding a lower sleeping surface.

  • Patent number: 4872567
Abstract: A shelf coverting unit for a gondola display rack which is capable of converting from one form of shelving to another the gondola display racks of a number of different manufacturers or of a number of different designs. The racks have multiple uprights, each with a plurality of spaced slots on which shelves or shelf supporting brackets may be fastened to support the shelves at different heights. The unit includes a replacement shelf having in its rear panel a plurality of pairs of vertically spaced, horizontally elongated slotted openings. The shelf is supported on the uprights with separate brackets having forward and upwardly facing hooks which slideablyu engage the slotted openings to accommodate differences in upright spacing, and having rearwardly and downwardly facing hooks which engage the uprights. The brackets are oppositely offset and interchangeable to increase the range of upright spacings which they will accommodate.

  • Patent number: 4809855
Abstract: A high density pack out gondola display rack comprises a firxed base, an upright extending vertically from the rear of the fixed base, which upright has at least two parallel columns of vertically spaced slots from which at least one shelf is supported in cantilever fashion over the fixed base. Both the base and the shelf have downwardly and forwardly sloping top surfaces such that product supported on the top surfaces slide forwardly against abutments at the front edge of the base and shelf. In the preferred embodiment, a fixed display rack having multiple columns and rows of forwardly and downwardly sloping shelves is mounted on the base.

  • Patent number: 4760928
Abstract: A beverage display case having a back panel, side panels and a bottom panel made from corrugated sheet plastic material. The case is rigidified by a U-shaped metal rod which rests atop the top edge of the back panel and the side panels and is secured thereto by extruded plastic caps which fit over the rod and the top edge of the back panel and side panels. A pair of rigid reinforcement rods also overlie the front edge of the side panels and are secured thereto by extruded plastic caps which fit over the rods and the front edges of the side panels. An adjustable snap-up shelf is secured to the front side of the back panel.

  • Patent number: 4708552
Abstract: A mounting assembly for mounting an object to a plasterboard wall includes a molded plastic bracket formed with a hollow barrel at one end and a clip at the other end to support an object. An anchor having a pointed stem portion and a head at the other end, is inserted through the hollow barrel of the bracket and then drive into the plasterboard. The anchor includes an axial bore extending from the head end along part of the stem portion and a through slot extends from the axial bore toward the pointed end thereby defining two opposed stem sections. Inwardly extending projections on each stem section cooperate with a nail to expand the two opposed stem sections and to snap those sections apart adjacent the pointed end. Mating keyways formed on the anchor keys formed on the hollow barrel orient the stem sections one vertically above the other when the anchor is in place within the wall.

  • Patent number: 4593826
Abstract: A display rack in which a plurality of shelves are mounted at desired locations along vertical corner posts by wedge lock elements. Each wedge lock element comprises a two-piece, wedge-shaped insert having outwardly extending projections which are adapted to releasably mount within dimples or detents vertically spaced along the corner posts. The shelves are formed with a sleeve at each corner adapted to fit over the corner posts and into engagement with the inserts. The inserts become wedged between the corner posts and sleeves to prevent downward vertical motion of the shelves relative to the corner posts while permitting easy removal of the shelves by lifting them upwardly from the inserts for disassembly or movement to a new position along the corner posts.

  • Patent number: 4519508
Abstract: An improved shelf structure for use in a display rack having interconnected corner posts, comprising opposed, spaced shelf support arms connected by a plurality of telescoping cross members adapted to telescope between an extended and retracted position for varying the planar surface area of the shelf structure. An article support, carried by the cross members, includes top and bottom article engaging surfaces each having a different coefficient of friction and being adapted to contact articles placed on the shelf structure. Latch elements, releasably mounted to the shelf support arms, are adapted to mount the shelf structure to virtually all corner post designs of current display racks and to dispose the shelf structure in the desired angular attitude from front to rear.
