  • Patent number: 12206582
Abstract: A system for efficiently determining a set of next-hop switches from a switch is provided. During operation, the system can determine the plurality of next-hop switches for an Internet Protocol (IP) address prefix. The system can then store, in an entry of a forwarding data structure of the switch, a list of identifying information indicating the plurality of next-hop switches corresponding to the IP address prefix. The identifying information for the plurality of next-hop switches can be stored in the list in an order of preference for forwarding traffic matching the IP address prefix. Upon receiving a packet with a destination IP address matching the IP address prefix, the system can select the entry from the forwarding data structure for determining a next-hop switch for forwarding the packet. The system can then determine the next-hop switch for the packet from the entry based on the order of preference.

  • Patent number: 12207283
Abstract: Embodiments described herein relate to managing access to 5G cellular baseband resources for 5G-capable wireless devices. A wireless device can monitor application workloads by analyzing communication network performance requirements for a given application in-use or launching for future use along with system-level indications of overall device usage, battery level, and mobility status to determine whether access to 5G cellular baseband resources is recommended for an application. A 5G cellular baseband resource recommendation is provided for an application indicating a level of bandwidth in current use or expected for future use as well as a confidence metric in the bandwidth level indication. The 5G cellular baseband resource recommendation is used with additional device criteria to determine whether access to one or more 5G radio frequency bands is allowed.

  • Publication number: 20250023847
Abstract: Systems described herein may dynamically add one or more proxy agents to a cloud data storage system to process an information management job, such as restore job. Upon completion of the job or at some other appropriate interval, the system can power down and decommission the proxy agents and/or the virtual machines on which the proxies reside according to a cleanup schedule (e.g., at hourly or minute intervals). The system takes into account currently existing proxies or virtual machines when processing a restore request to determine the need for new proxies to service the restore request. In this manner the system can save costs and computing resources through efficient virtual machine deployment and retirement.

  • Publication number: 20250023898
Abstract: Security incident detection based on historian configuration data collected over time is described. Historic configuration data associated with a computing device is updated based on received configuration data indicative of a change in configuration of the computing device in a computer system. The historic configuration data indicates changes to configurations of the computing device over a time period. A determination that relationship between the computing device and an entity of the computer system has changed is made based on the updated historic configuration data. The updated historic configuration data is provided as input to a machine learning (ML) model configured to generate an indication of whether the updated historic configuration data evidences a security incident. In response to the ML model generating an indication that the updated historic configuration data evidences a security incident, a security alert indicative of the evidenced security incident is generated.
